Cultivation Kitchen in Anaheim, near Anaheim Packing District, is billed as OC’s first greenhouse eatery. I went in to find out.
The lure included its description as a “fresh fast-casual” focused on “picked-with-a-purpose” ingredients, producing “healthy, organic, and locally sourced” breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
Naturally, the question is will it taste good?
I started with a lavender latte that could become my new go-to coffee. From there, I went to the Sunflower Hemp Hummus with seasoned chips, then their Heart Beet salad—oranges, avocado, hemp hearts, goat cheese, toasted hazelnuts—and, for the main course, salmon, with sides of red quinoa and roasted cauliflower.
Every mouthful felt fresh; as if I were savoring something harvested or caught that morning.
Next time Anaheim beckons and you think of fighting your way through the Packing House, try Cultivation Kitchen instead. It’s a breath of fresh air, and fresh cuisine.
