Chevron Ups Clean Energy Fuels Corp. Ports Investment to $28M

Chevron said today it is investing $20 million more in the Adopt-a-Port initiative with renewable natural gas provider Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE) of Newport Beach.  

Chevron has now invested a total of $28 million in the initiative, which provides truck operators — large fleets and owner-operators — serving the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach with cleaner, carbon-negative RNG to reduce emissions.  

Shares in Clean Energy fell almost 3.5% to $8.48 apiece for market cap of $1.7 billion as part of an overall market sell-off.
