More than 250 people attended the Business Journal’s 16th annual Family Owned Business Awards luncheon at Hotel Irvine.
Greg MacGillivray, producer, award-winning documentary filmmaker and director at MacGillivray Freeman Films, delivered the keynote address, sharing photographs and videos of his adventures and travels in documentary filmmaking, including a trip to Mount Everest.
This year’s award winners covered a broad range of industries and family backgrounds in the following categories:
• Up & Coming: OC Baking Co., based in Orange;
• Small Business: Anaheim-based Lester Lithograph Inc.;
• Medium-sized business: Zov’s Restaurants, based in Tustin, with additional locations in Newport Beach and Irvine;
• Large Business: Long Beach-based Twining Consulting Inc.;
• and Longevity: Hoffman California International Fabrics, based in Mission Viejo.
The honorees will be profiled in the Business Journal’s Aug. 10 print edition.
