Behr Goes Green for 2018 With Fresh Color Palette

Behr Process Corp.’s 2018 color of the year is In The Moment T18-15, a “restorative blue-green hue honoring nature to create a soothing atmosphere.” It’s part of a spectrum of 20 hues “forecasted to influence décor and design in the year ahead.”

The Santa Ana-based manufacturer and supplier of architectural paint and exterior wood-care products set up a temporary Pop-Up Trend Home last month in Grand Central Terminal in New York that was inspired by the color palette.

The display was meant to show “how the intentional use of fresh, tranquil color in the home can serve as an antidote to a stressful day and turn any space into your personal sanctuary,” said Chief Marketing Officer Jodi Allen.

Behr is a subsidiary of Taylor, Mich.-based Masco Corp., which has a market value of about $11 billion.

The design reflects AT&T’s “transition from a wireless company to a true entertainment company,” said spokesperson Melissa Bahoora. “As we open new locations, we’ll be modeling them after this one.”
