Architect Works on Post-9/11 Project

Irvine-based architecture firm Ware Malcomb’s chief executive, Lawrence Armstrong, designed a memorial to honor military service members who died “in the war on terror.”

The firm said the memorial is being developed with the nonprofit Welcome Home Troops organization, which helps military families reconnect with family, friends and communities.

It will be a circular, glass-paneled mobile installation that will travel across the U.S. in coordination with veterans organizations.
