AMT to Acquire RestorixHealth

Irvine-based American Medical Technologies, a provider of wound care programs for skilled nursing facilities, said this month it is acquiring RestorixHealth of New York. Financial terms of the transaction were undisclosed.
 
“This merger extends RestorixHealth’s reach further across the care continuum to include skilled nursing facilities, assisted living and hospice,” Steve McLaughlin, chief executive of RestorixHealth, who will become CEO of the combined company, said in a statement.
 
It’s the second major shake-up in AMT’s ownership structure in less than a year.

RestorixHealth operates 236 wound centers in partnership with hospitals across 32 states. It also provides in-home wound care equipment and physician services across two states.  

AMT, which has a parent name of Gordian Medical Inc., offers wound care, products and education in 6,250 long-term care facilities across all 50 states. It estimates it serves more than 250,000 patients annually.
 
Sam Muppalla, chief executive of AMT, will serve as president of the Durable Medical Equipment division of the combined company.

AMT has been a portfolio company of One Equity Partners and The Silverfern Group since last August.

The location of the combined company’s headquarters has not been disclosed.
 
The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2021, the companies said.
