Newport Beach-based Alliant Insurance Services acquired Boynton & Boynton Insurance Professionals to continue its expansion in the Northeast. Terms of the agreement were undisclosed.
New Jersey-based Boynton & Boynton is one of the region’s largest private insurance agencies, with more than 80 professionals and a client base in a variety of industries, Alliant said.
It will operate as part of Alliant Americas, which provides the middle market with regionally focused products and services.
Boynton & Boynton President Jay Lynch and management and staff will join Alliant and continue to service clients from its offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Alliant, the largest insurance broker in Orange County, is one of the fastest-growing companies here. It reported sales of $968 million for the 12-month period ended June 30, 2016, 17% higher than two years earlier.
It also ranked 17th on the Business Journal’s list of the largest private companies.
This year, Alliant has purchased SES Insurance Brokerages Inc. of Santa Ana and Summit Insurance Resource Group of Sandpoint, Idaho.
