Costa Mesa apparel company Volcom Inc. rose another 8% in trading Friday, adding to a 41% gain in its stock debut Thursday.
Friday’s rise helped push Volcom’s market value to around $675 million, up from $625 million the day before.
The maker of surf, skate and snow garb raised $80 million in its initial public offering. The sale made multimillionaires of Chief Executive Richard Woolcott and his father Ren & #233; Woolcott.
Volcom plans to use the offering’s proceeds to expand in Europe and boost its marketing, sales and other general corporate purposes.
Volcom’s debut easily was the best first-day showing for a local IPO in years.
