Cerritos-based Vinyl Concepts will expand its operations to Fullerton next month, taking 123,000 square feet of space formerly occupied by Kia Motors America’s parts distribution operation.
Vinyl Concepts is a division of Taiwanese plastics conglomerate China General Plastics Corp., which makes inflatable vinyl toys and furniture. It is subleasing the Fullerton space from Kia in a $1.7 million, four-year deal.
According to Jon Merry of J.M. Commercial, who helped broker the deal, Vinyl Concepts will retain its 60,000-square-foot Cerritos site and take occupancy of the Fullerton building beginning in October.
Kia moved its parts distribution to a bigger facility in Chino, to keep up with increased sales.
