Sunstone Hotel Investors, San Clemente, has signed a three-year deal with Salt Lake City-based STSN, a provider of high-speed Internet technology, to provide plug-and-play Internet access for business travelers in the 57 hotels Sunstone operates in eight states. STSN will also provide high-speed network connectivity from Sunstone properties to its corporate headquarters to streamline managerial operations.
Installation is expected to be complete this summer. Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but a Sunstone spokesperson said terms include revenue-sharing, hardware costs and system usage.
STSN’s system is said to work with any Internet-compatible laptop or computer and does not require special PC accessories. Hotel guests will have access to a toll-free help line 24/7 and will be granted secure access to private corporate networks, e-mail and other applications.
