Rutan’s Wall Now Working on Bill Jones IPO

It’s been a busy year for Rutan & Tucker’s George Wall. The corporate attorney has closed a dozen deals, including three $50 million transactions,The Outdoor Channel’s public merger, Ocean Pacific’s acquisition by Warnaco and Frontier Systems’ sale to Boeing. He also handled a $10 million financing for Chris Massey’s healthcare companies. Seller Tom Tierney and buyer Bill Farley both asked Wall to represent them in the Body Wise Inter-national deal; Wall wound up referring Tierney to his former firm, Palmieri, Tyler. Now Wall is helping defeated GOP Senatorial candidate Bill Jones take Pacific Ethanol public. “It’s a pretty closed circle at the ownership level of these companies,” says the well-connected Wall. When he’s not charging $450 an hour, Wall has been helping Tom Tucker organize the L.A. chapter of the Republican PAC, New Majority. Twenty members are signed up and Wall says former Guv Pete Wilson and former L.A.
