SALES

Asset Management Consultants purchased the Wells Fargo Building, a 115,00-square-foot building in Santa Ana, from Moss and Co. for $9.2 million. Robert Mitchell and Alan Pekarcik of Voit Commercial Brokerages represented both parties.

The Colton Co. purchased the Laguna Design Center, a 211,245-square-foot property in Laguna Niguel, from Koll Bren Schreiber Realty Advisors for $21.5 million. Marc Renard of Cushman Wakefield of California represented both parties.

Hillcrest Development Partners LLC purchased a 32,000-square-foot retail property in Alhambra from the Ho Family Trust for $1.3 million. Kevin Dee and Ted Slaught of Charles Dunn Co. represented Hillcrest.

Red Dog Properties LLC purchased Charter Behavioral Health System, a 50,000-square-foot hospital in Mission Viejo, from Crescent Real Estate Funding VII LP for $4 million. Mike Austin and Fouy Ly of Sperry Van Ness represented Crescent and Stephen Grossman of Sperry Van Ness represented Red Dog.

LEASES

Multi-Cultural Marketing Inc. leased 17,044 square feet of office space at 3350 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles. The transaction was valued at $800,000. John Anthony of Charles Dunn Co. represented Multi-Cultural Marketing and the landlord, Albion Pacific Property Resources LLC.

Bubmark Printing Inc., dba Newport Printers, leased Technology Plaza, an office and warehouse space at 18 Technology in Irvine. The transaction was valued at $275,000. The landlord, The Irvine Company, represented itself.

contracts

MBK Southern California Ltd. was appointed development manager of Desert Walk, a 350,000-square-foot complex in Palm Springs. Demolition work is scheduled to begin this summer with completion of the complex next year. MBK Southern California is a retail development division of the Irvine-based MBK Real Estate Ltd.

Newport Beach-based McCarthy was appointed general contractor for the $20 million Exposition Park DPSS project near the Los Angeles Coliseum owned by Exposition Park West Asset Leasing Corp. The development includes an office building with 130,000 square feet of space, a 554-car parking garage and tenant build-out for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services.

OTHER

Irvine-based R. D. Olson Construction began work on the Marriott TownPlace Suites, a 73,300-square-foot extended stay-style hotel in Newark, Calif. The hotel is scheduled for completion in May. Marriott International Design Construction Inc. designed the building.

Simac Construction Inc. has nearly completed La Habra Town Center, a six-building, 77,000-square-foot center on Whittier Blvd. in La Habra. The project is valued at $1.4 million and scheduled to be complete in February.

Kennedy-Wilson International is scheduled to auction the Broadway Plaza, an 18-office condominium complex in Santa Ana, on Feb. 17.
