SALES

Invesco Realty Advisors purchased the 220-unit Crowne Chase Apartments in Kansas from Archstone Communities for $16.8 million. Ray Eldridge, Joe Leon and Bill Powell of CB Richard Ellis’ Newport Beach office represented both parties.

Hunt Enterprises bought the 100-unit Reno Towers Apartments in Los Angeles from Reno Towers Partners for $10.3 million. Ray Eldridge and Joe Leon of CB Richard Ellis’ Newport Beach office represented both parties.

Opera Pacific purchased a 19,720-square-foot industrial building at 600 W. Warner Ave. in Santa Ana from Bal Seal Engineering for $1.3 million. Clarence Turner Sr. of Trico Realty in Costa Mesa represented Opera Pacific. David Desper and Jeff Carr of CB Richard Ellis’ Newport Beach office represented Bal Seal. The pair also represented Bal Seal in another deal in which American Precast bought a 30,750-square-foot industrial building at 620 W. Warner Ave. from Bal Seal for $1.9 million. J.R. Williamson of Nathan Howard Group represented American Precast.

Liberty Office Partners bought a 45,235-square-foot office building at 6 Liberty in Aliso Viejo from Liberty Commercial Properties for $8.75 million. Chris Deason and Dave Alderman of Voit Commercial Brokerage’s Irvine office represented both parties.

Thomas Safran & Associates purchased the 200-unit Santa Ana Towers at 401 W. First St. in Santa Ana from Mitsui Real Estate Sales for $11.7 million. Bruce Furniss of Grubb & Ellis represented both parties.

A private partnership bought the 262,657-square-foot Telephone Road Plaza in Ventura from Koll Bren Schreiber Realty Advisors in Newport Beach. Mark E. Lucescu of Marcus & Millichap represented both parties.

Ji Yeon Kim purchased a 15,600-square-foot industrial building at 13 Autry in Irvine Spectrum from Victor Medical for $1.3 million. Dennis Highland and Mark Jerue of Lee & Associates Irvine Spectrum represented both parties.

Hart Advisors purchased a 276,000-square-foot building on Kraemer Boulevard in Anaheim from Proficiency Capital for $18 million. Louis Tomaselli and Mitch Zehner of Voit Commercial Brokerage’s Anaheim Metro office represented both parties.


LEASES

Hager Pacific Properties leased an 18,737-square-foot space at 6415 Katella Ave. in Cypress from Maximus Inc. The three-year lease is valued at $1.1 million. Mike Bouma of Voit Commercial represented Hager Pacific Properties. John Herrouin of Colliers Seeley International represented Maximus Inc.

The North Orange County Regional Occupational Program leased a 13,663-square-foot office building at 1177 N. Magnolia Ave. in Anaheim from Joe Yellen Family Trust. Jim Hawkins and Bob Engen of Lee & Associates-Orange represented the ROP. Mike Hefner of Voit Commercial Brokerage and Randy Coe of The Seeley Company represented the trust.

Applause Inc. renewed its 200,822-square-foot lease in Carson. The five-year lease was valued at $5.4 million. Rich Bright and Lee Black of Cushman & Wakefield’s Woodland Hills office represented Applause Inc. C. James McLaughlin III of Cushman Realty’s Orange County office and George Eshaghian of Cushman Realty’s West LA office represented the landlord, West Coast Liquidators Inc.

Modular Systems Inc. leased a 48,528-square-foot building at 4100 N. Bonita Place. Troy Williams of Grubb & Ellis’ Anaheim office represented Modular Systems Inc. Jeff Read and Troy Williams of Grubb & Ellis’ Anaheim office represented the landlord, Catellus Development Corp.


OTHER

R.D. Olson Construction in Irvine completed the 135,000-square-foot Oak Creek Village Center, also in Irvine. The project was valued at $10.5 million. The construction company also completed an 8,000-square-foot Morton’s of Chicago restaurant in Vancouver, B.C. Pre-construction services and general contracting were valued at $1.1 million.

JBZ Architecture + Planning in Newport Beach announced design plans for a 62,733-square-foot senior-care community in Culver City. The project was valued at $7.5 million.

CarrAmerica Development Inc. completed a 55,000-square-foot build-to-suit at Harbor Corporate Park in Santa Ana for The Art Institutes.

Andrew L. Youngquist Construction in Costa Mesa started construction of the 54-unit Casa Puelta apartment community in San Diego. The project was valued at $4.7 million.

Donahue Schriber in Newport Beach took over the management of the 550,000-square-foot Clairemont Town Square in San Diego.

Alexander’s Moving & Storage’s Tustin office opened a warehouse facility in Whittier. The facility will supplement its existing warehouse and office space.

Chambers Group Inc. in Irvine was awarded contracts for development of a 677-acre unincorporated portion of Orange County, by the city of Irvine; and preparation of reports for the replacement of the Mount Vernon Avenue Bridge over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe rail yard in San Bernardino, by Parsons Brinckerhoff.
