Quiksilver’s New Stores: First Venture in Illinois
Huntington Beach-based Quiksilver Inc. said it opened two retail stores in suburban Chicago, its first stores in Illinois.
Orange County’s largest surfwear maker said the stores,both in the Woodfield Shopping Center in Schaumburg, Ill.,are a Quiksilver Boardriders Club and a Quiksilver Youth store.
The youth store is the company’s first company-owned youth store. Its clothing collection is similar to the Boardriders concept, but aimed at a younger customer. With the new opening, Quiksilver has 16 Boardriders stores in the U.S.
The company is increasing its retail presence in these non-core markets, according to Gregg Solomon, senior vice president of Quiksilver’s retail division.
