The Handicapped Law Compliance Office honored Knott’s Berry Farm for outstanding compliance with state and federal handicapped accessibility laws and for demonstrating extraordinary courtesy for persons with disabilities.
Easter Seals received a $10,000 grant from Disabled American Veterans Charities, a $5,000 grant from the Carl E. Wynn Foundation, a $5,000 grant from the Orange County Healthcare Foundation, and a $1,000 grant from Bergen Brunswig Corporation. The donations will be used to fund Easter Seal’s Senior Day Care Program in Brea, Summer Camp Program for children with disabilities, After-School Programs, and Kids are Riding Safe Program.
The Arthritis Foundation will host their Spring Swing fund raising dinner dance and auction. In support of Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Week, proceeds from the event will help children with arthritis.
The Mission Hospital Foundation Holiday Gala raised more than $135,000. The money will support the hospital’s cardiopulmonary intensive care unit and the completion of the fourth floor of Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center.
