AGRICULTURE

Guy Witney was named director of industry affairs for the Irvine-based California Avo-cado Commission, which works with avocado growers in the state. Witney will manage the commission’s crop estimation, insurance and other programs.

ENGINEERING

Steven E. Kelner and Martin O. Gilchrist joined the Irvine office of OMB Electrical Engineers Inc. as partners. Kelner will manage school and campus projects. Gilchrist specializes in hospitality and entertainment facilities.

HOSPITALITY

Montage Resort & Spa in Laguna Beach named April Bloom as its special events sommelier. She will assist in developing wine tasting seminars.

Ed Silhacek was named travel industry sales manager at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point. Silhacek formerly was operations manager for Travcoa in Newport Beach.

LAW

Christopher R. Elliott and Robert J. Mulvhill were named partners at the Santa Ana law firm of Hart, King and Coldren. Elliott and Mulvhill have been with the firm for 10 years. Elliott specializes in real estate, business and commercial litigation. Mulvhill specializes in business litigation, homeowner association and construction law.

MARKETING

Tustin-based Atomic Curve hired Kerri McNamara as traffic manager and Dina Chiarle-Flath as senior production artist. McNamara formerly was with TH & M; Advertising. Chiarle-Flath formerly was with Story/Dimson Design.

NONPROFIT

Marty Perreault and Dr. Linda A. Albers were named presidents of the executive board of Info Link Orange County. Albers also is on the board of Vocational Visions and is a member of the pro bono committee of the Orange County Bar Association.

Families Forward, a provider of housing, education and support to needy families, hired Teresa Chien, Alycia Harshfield and Christine Ortale. Chien was named director of grants and communications. Harshfield was named director of volunteers. Ortale is director of fund development.

REAL ESTATE

Brett Anderson joined Laguna Hills-based Guthrie Development Co. as project manager. Anderson will be involved in property development, financial analysis, acquisition, entitlement and construction management.

Coldwell Banker Commercial Orange Coast named Charles Sherman director of the real property services group. Sherman currently heads Orange Coast’s full-service property management division.

David N. Kenneally joined Irvine-based New Century Mortgage, part of Irvine-based New Century Financial Corp., as vice president and controller. Kenneally formerly was with Irvine subprime auto financier Consumer Portfolio Services Inc.

TECHNOLOGY

Interchange Corp., an Internet service provider, appointed Doug Norman as chief financial officer and corporate secretary. Norman formerly was financial chief and cofounder of Santa Ana-based Starbase Corp., now part of Borland Software Corp.
