Amy Ellena was named traffic coordinator at Lawrence, Mayo & Ponder, Newport Beach. Ellena previously worked for Color Graphics.

Angela Burrell was named account executive at Pittman & Associates, Newport Beach. Burrell will coordinate African-American-based activities on behalf of the California Department of Health Services.


Banking and Finance

Robert W. Duff joined Fidelity National Financial Inc.’s builder/developer services division. Duff is a licensed auctioneer and was previously a member of the Building Industry Association of Southern California.

The Newport Beach branch of Harbor National Bank named Al De Grassi senior vice president and regional manager. Formerly with First Security Bank, De Grassi has 16 years of business experience in Orange County.

City National Bank, Irvine, appointed Carol Stewart vice president and relationship manager for the Orange County private banking team.

Joe Anderson joined Sunwest Bank, Tustin, as vice president and business development officer. Anderson, who was previously with Citibank in Newport Beach, will be responsible for SBA loans in Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.


Construction

Irvine-based R.D. Olson Construction hired David Wilburn as project manager.

Sukut Construction Inc, Santa Ana, named Kimberly A. Hurst controller and Sean P. McCoy tax director. Hurst was previously controller at Vortex Industries; McCoy worked for Arthur Anderson as a senior tax manager.


Education

Saddleback College, Mission Viejo, hired Julie A. Bright as dean of the division of health sciences and human services and named Don E. Taylor dean of advanced technology and applied science. The college also named William Kelly interim dean for the division of fine arts, physical education and athletics.


Healthcare

Tustin Hospital and Medical Center added Dr. Bruce Houman to its medical staff. Houman specializes in male sexual dysfunction laser surgery, pediatric urology and cancer treatment utilizing radioactive seed implants.

Insight Health Services Corp., Newport Beach, appointed Jerome C. Marcus, managing director of GE Equity, to its board of directors.


Law

Mitchell L. Wexler, an immigration attorney with Hirson Wexler Perl & Stark of Newport Beach, has been elected the 2000-2001 chair of the Southern California Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Irvine-based Watt, Tieder, Hoffar & Fitzgerald announced that Robert G. Barbour, Marybeth Z. Gaul and Keith C. Phillips were made partners in the firm.


Manufacturing

MarChem Pacific Inc., named Kevin L. Pangilinan manager of operations. Previously, Pangilinan spent six years at MarChem Corp., an affiliated company.


Marketing and Public Relations

Entrepreneur Media Inc. named Jill Juedes director of marketing. Juedes, who will be based in Irvine, was marketing manager of Road and Track magazine for 11 years.


Nonprofits

The Council on Aging-Orange County, named its officers for the 2000-2001: Victoria Mckemy, president; Judith Goffin, vice-president; Nancy Whyte, secretary; and Harry Kipp, treasurer.


Real Estate

Christy Clow was promoted to partner at Turner Development Corp. Clow, who joined Turner in 1987 and had been vice president, specializes in project management.

Deborah L. Cole was promoted from community association manager to development manager at Keystone Pacific Property Management Inc., Irvine.

Sares-Regis Group, Irvine, appointed John D. Janssen senior property manager of the commercial property services division within Southern California.


Technology

Sonnet Technologies, Irvine, hired Barry Ford as U.S. sales director.

Jason Kim was named vice president of operations at Infinilink Corp., Rancho Santa Margarita. Kim recently was director of worldwide manufacturing operations for Viking Components Inc.

NexTier Solutions Corp., Aliso Viejo, named Michael McCann president and chief executive officer. Previously, McCann was an executive with Transtar Capital Corp., Newport Beach.

PricePlay.com, Tustin, named John Goodale vice president of business development. Goodale was formerly director of business development of SegaSoft Networks Inc. Goodale has a 12-year career in the computer entertainment industry.

Craig Zimmer was named vice president of sales for The Return Exchange, Irvine. Zimmer has more than 10 years of professional high-tech sales and management experience.

Attorney Richard Troop was elected to the board of directors of Irvine-based 3DSP Corp., a privately held technology company that licenses intellectual-property products for digital signal processing technology.

Sextant In-Flight Systems, Irvine, appointed Lori Krans director of marketing for plans and proposals. Krans will assume responsibility for expanding the company’s marketing strategies for in-flight entertainment and information systems.

Laura Cannon joined InterAct Network Inc., Santa Ana, as manager of operations and administration. She will be the company’s liaison with the airlines as part of her responsibilities. The Cal State Fullerton graduate began her career with the in-flight entertainment specialty at Post Modern Edit.
