ADVERTISING & PUBLIC RELATIONS

Brower, Miller & Cole, an Irvine-based marketing, public relations and advertising firm, hired Christa Haratani as production manager. She will be responsible for advertising, graphic design, Web site and video services. Haratani previously was with Marriott International Corp., where she oversaw sales events, charity fundraisers and signs for events.

ARCHITECTURE

Meeks + Partners in Newport Beach added Andy Attolini as a senior designer. Attolini previously worked at Richardson Nagy Martin Architects, also in Newport Beach.

ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT

Julia Barys joined Frontier Production Co., a Costa Mesa-based motion picture production company, as executive producer. Barys will develop new business.

ENGINEERING

Cary, N.C.-based Kim-ley-Horn and Associates Inc., a civil engineering and consulting firm, promoted Serine Ciandella to vice president at its Orange office. Ciandella previously was a traffic engineer at that office.

HEALTHCARE

Conexis Benefits Admin-istrators LP of Orange appointed Karli Dunkelberger as vice president, business development. Dunkelberger most recently was a division vice president with Minneapolis-based Ceridian Corp.

LAW

Gary Pemberton joined Foothill Ranch-based Marshack Shulman Hodges & Bastian LLP as a partner. Pemberton previously practiced with Los Angeles-based Irell & Manella LLP and was a shareholder at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth in Newport Beach.

Jorge A. Martinez, an attorney at the Irvine office of Phoenix-based Snell & Wilmer LLP, was elected trustee for the Orange County Hispanic Bar Association. Martinez has been a member of the association since 2001 and will serve as trustee for one year.

James Clough joined the Irvine office of Miami-based Greenberg Traurig LLP as a shareholder. Clough previously was a corporate securities partner with San Francisco-based Pillsbury Winthrop LLP.

NONPROFIT

Michelle Park was promoted to services manager, wish program, at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Orange County in Tustin. The foundation is a Phoenix-based nonprofit that seeks to fulfill the wishes of children with serious medical conditions.

The Orange County affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation named Gregory Scott executive director of the Costa Mesa-based organization. Scott previously served as executive director of the Neighborhood Youth Association in West Los Angeles.

REAL ESTATE

Matt Soto Sr. was appointed vice president and regional manager for mortgage company American Mortgage Network’s Orange County regional center in Mission Viejo. Soto brings more than 25 years of experience in the prime and subprime mortgage sectors. American Mortgage is part of San Diego-based American Residential Investment Trust Inc.

TECHNOLOGY

Santa Ana-based SimpleTech Inc., a memory products maker, hired Michael Nilsson as vice president of OEM sales. Nilsson brings more than 20 years of technology sales and marketing experience, including 16 years at Fujitsu Microelectronics Am-erica Inc. in Sunnyvale.
