San Clemente-based Kanatsiz Communi-cations Inc. appointed Jeff Montejano as its strategic partner and vice president of public affairs. Montejano most recently was vice president at M4 Strategies in Costa Mesa.

San Clemente-based Surf Industry Manu-facturers Association made two appointments: Sean Smith was promoted to executive director, and Jennifer Harris was named communications specialist.
ARCHITECTURE
Irvine-based Hall & Foreman Inc. made two additions to its firm: Joe Ortiz was appointed director of information technology, and Anthony Terich was named project director. Ortiz brings more than 15 years of experience in information technology. Terich possesses more than three decades of civil engineering experience.

Balboa Performing Arts Theater named Chris-topher Trela to the position of director of marketing and development. Trela brings two decades of experience and most recently was director of public relations and publications for Orange County’s Pacific Sym-phony.

The Hilton Costa Mesa named Kevin Wesley assistant director of meetings and conventions. Wesley previously served as convention services manager at the Doubletree Ontario and brings 19 years of hospitality experience to this position.

Charles S. Kroli-kowski joined New-meyer & Dillion LLP as counsel in its Newport Beach office, where he will specialize in land-use and eminent domain matters as well as real estate and business litigation. Krolikowski comes from Irvine-based Palmieri, Tyler, Wiener, Wilhelm & Waldron LLP.

Ameriquest Mortgage Co. in Orange named Julie Brandt director of corporate affairs and corporate philanthropy. Brandt previously was director of the San Francisco mayor’s Small Business Commission and deputy director of policy for the mayor’s Office of Economic Development.
Irvine-based Platinum Properties, a residential and commercial brokerage, appointed Allan Daum as managing director of commercial brokerage services and broker of record. Daum previously served as executive vice president of corporate services for Coldwell Banker Commercial REP.
Santa Ana-based RiverRock Real Estate Group added three people: Steve Core joined as senior director, Kenneth Koozin came on board as chief financial officer and Reva Sanchez was hired as senior property manager. Core previously was the director of property management at CB Richard Ellis Group Inc. Koozin brings 20 years of experience to the company. Sanchez previously was a senior manager, also with CB Richard Ellis.

Colin Burgos was named director of national sales at Dana Point-based Voice2insight, which provides voice-based sales reporting systems. Burgos most recently served as manager of fitness sales at 24 Hour Fitness.
