The Alzheimer’s Association Orange County chapter named Sue Davidson to its board. Davidson has 33 years of business and management experience. She is a former owner and operator of a staffing and recruiting company. Davidson has volunteered with Aspen Community Services and the Corazon de Vida Foundation.
FINANCE
Michael Cohen joined Global Capital Markets Inc. in Irvine as principal. Cohen previously was director of mergers and acquisitions at Honeywell International Inc. He is a member of the Association of Professional Merger & Acquisition Advisors and was previously on the board of directors for Young Professionals Against Cancer.
HEALTHCARE
Cypress Center for Family Medicine in Los Alamitos added Fantaye Merid. Merid specializes in women’s health. She has a doctor of medicine degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed her three-year residency training in family medicine at Northridge Family Medicine Residency Program.
HOTELS
Leah Harrison joined the Hilton Irvine as director of sales and marketing. Harrison began working at the Hilton several years ago after owning a catering business. She helped open the Embassy Suites in Anaheim and the executive meeting center at the Hilton Long Beach.
INVESTMENT
Paul Attyah joined Atlantic Trust as vice president of its Newport Beach office. He has nine years of experience in financial services. Previously, Attyah spent seven years with American International Group Inc. as a member of its mergers and acquisitions insurance group. He is a member of University of Southern California Associates in support of the Norris Cancer Center.
LAW
Jerry A. King joined Latham & Watkins LLP as a senior environment, land and resources specialist. King has 16 years of experience with the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board. He specializes in planning coordination, land-use analysis and public utility policy.
MEDIA & MARKETING
Garden of E, a marketing agency for homebuilders, hired Scott Olivares as a Web marketing strategist in its new Irvine office. Olivares will handle client market research analysis and develop plans to increase sales leads.
Pacific Communications in Costa Mesa hired Jose Santiago as art supervisor in its creative department. He previously was creative director of DevicePharm. Pacific Communications, owned by Irvine’s Allergan Inc., provides marketing services to healthcare companies. Pacific Communications also added Mark Davey as art supervisor in the agency’s creative department. He will manage art direction on Juv & #233;derm and other dermal fillers made by Allergan.
NONPROFIT
Habitat for Humanity of OC elected Kevin Beutler as a board member. He is human resources director of the St. Regis Resort Monarch Beach. Beutler also is a volunteer board member with Mary Erickson Community Housing in San Clemente.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of OC added three new staff members: Fredrika Pantouw, Yesenia Rivera and Viviana Santa.
REAL ESTATE
Newport Beach-based McGonigle Group hired Jerry LaMott to be based in Laguna Niguel. His career as a broker and agent spans 30 years and includes awards for sales and service excellence. He was the second ranked producing agent nationally and the top-selling agent statewide and in OC.
Buchanan Street Partners in Newport Beach added Robert Clark as chief financial officer and Brian Zulpo as senior vice president of asset management. Clark has 20 years of commercial real estate experience in property valuation, investment management, research and capital markets. Zulpo has 22 years of experience in investment management and risk analysis.
Newport Beach-based Vintage Senior Living Inc. named Dan W. Ogden chief operating officer. Before joining VSL, Ogden was an executive vice president at Archstone-Smith Trust. Ogden lives in Laguna Beach and is a member of the Executive Leadership Committee for the California Apartment Association.
SERVICES
Costa Mesa-based Resources Connection Inc. added Nate Franke as vice president and chief financial officer. He worked for 22 years at Deloitte & Touche LLP where he most recently was an audit partner. Franke is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Resources Connection also named Jim Hazboun senior director of recruiting in the human capital practice for Los Angeles and Orange counties. He was recently first vice president at Indymac Bancorp Inc. in Pasadena.
