ARCHITECTURE

Ewing Cole, an architectural, engineering, interior design and planning firm, hired W. Gary Mangham in its Irvine office.

Irvine-based KTGY Group Inc. named Tricia Esser as chief executive. Esser previously was chief financial officer and a principal of KTGY.

ART

The Orange County Museum of Art elected four trustees: Linda Fitz-Horioka, Scott Flanders, chief executive of Irvine-based Freedom Communications Inc., Jay Moss and Brian R. Stone.

ASSOCIATIONS

Lena Berlove joined the board of the Orange County chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Berlove has worked more than 10 years with older adults with disabilities and Alzheimer’s disease.

Mike Kartsonis, president of Dynamic Fabrication Inc., a metal company in Santa Ana, was appointed as a director of Boys Scouts of America, OC council.

BANKING

Arthur J. Zaino, a vice president of Newport Beach-based Downey Savings, has been appointed as the thrift’s Community Reinvestment Act officer. He’ll continue to serve as Downey’s fair lending officer, a position he has held for the past three years.

Javier Iglesias joined San Clemente-based Pacific Coast National Bank as senior vice president, commercial relationship manager. Iglesias will be responsible for sales and development of commercial business for the bank in San Diego and Orange counties.

Costa Mesa-based RSM EquiCo Capital Markets LLC, an investment bank that’s part of H & R; Block Inc., named Charlene A. Davidson senior managing director.

Ted Emmons joined Bank Midwest’s commercial real estate lending group in its Newport Beach office.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Newport Beach-based 5 Minute Networking appointed Donald Kasle, managing partner of Alldas Partners LLC, and Steven Mednick, president of Plenum Revenue Group LLC, to its advisory board.

CONSTRUCTION

Lake Forest-based general contractor ARB Inc. elected Maurice W. Gallarda as president of infrastructure. He is responsible for the expanding domestic water and wastewater work.

EDUCATION

Mike Chesney, vice president of transportation engineering of Irvine-based RBF Consulting, was elected to serve as chair of the civil and environmental engineering industrial advisory board at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Chesney will serve on the board for two consecutive, three-year terms.

Barry Pasternack, chair and professor of management systems and decision sciences at California State University, Fullerton, was elected to serve as vice chair of the Cal State University Academic Senate. Pasternack has been with Cal State Fullerton since 1977 and served on the university’s Academic Senate since 1989 and the statewide senate since 1996.

Lucia I. Palacios was named executive director of Santa Ana-based Head Start Inc., a comprehensive educational program offering half and full-day preschool and early childhood development programs to poor families and special needs children. Palacios is president of the California Head Start Association.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

Experian Group named Scott Wheeler chief financial officer of Experian Americas. Wheeler joins Experian from Avery Dennison Corp., where he was responsible for developing and implementing global strategic goals for growth, technology, investment and productivity.

FOOD

Classic Foods Inc., maker of Kettle Classics Potato Chips, named Tracy Thomas as public relations representative.

HEALTHCARE

Faye Newsome and Chuck Walker joined Dynamic Healthcare Systems Inc., a software provider for Medicare-focused health plans. Newsome was named vice president of account management and implementation. Walker was appointed as sales executive.

San Juan Capistrano-based Clarient Inc., a medical testing company, appointed James V. Agnello as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Irvine-based Triage Medical Inc. promoted Brad Culbert to the newly created position of chief technical officer, vice president of research, development and engineering. Culbert most recently served as vice president of research and development for the company.

INSURANCE

Hilb Rogal & Hobbs, a national insurance brokerage and consulting firm, appointed Adrienne Shaffer as senior consultant and director of client services in its Aliso Viejo office.

David Kuhn was promoted to managing director of Irvine-based Countrywide Insurance Group’s commercial lines brokerage business. Countrywide Insurance is part of Calabasas-based mortgage lender Countrywide Financial Corp.

The Irvine office of Heritage General Agency, a wholesale insurance brokerage firm, added Bob Kotick as assistant vice president.

MARKETING

Irvine-based Integrated MarketingWorks, a marketing and public relations firm, promoted Kendra Peavy to account supervisor.

Anaheim-based sign maker Outdoor Dimensions promoted Teresa Moe to sales manager.

Laguna Hills-based FrontGate Inc., added the following: Keith Pape joined FrontGate Creative as senior partner and vice president; Todd Behrmann joined as FrontGate Creative’s senior Internet application developer; Ian Romas joined as project coordinator for FrontGate Creative; and Jonathan Rouse joined as marketing coordinator for FrontGate Media.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

Synergy Media & Consulting Inc., a public relations firm based in Irvine, hired Megan Wolff as an account coordinator.

PRINTING

ColorGraphics named Craig Evans vice president of sales. David Madison will replace Evans as managing director in the Costa Mesa office.

REAL ESTATE

Brea-based ResMae Mortgage Corp. appointed Quang To as regional vice president for the company’s division that deals with mortgage brokers.

Studley Inc., a brokerage representing tenants seeking space, added Charles Suh to the firm’s project management services group in Irvine.

Irvine-based Sperry Van Ness, a commercial real estate investment brokerage, named Jonathan Giannola senior investment adviser.

RiverRock Real Estate Group, a real estate management and leasing firm based in Santa Ana, appointed Jon Waldron as general manager of the newly formed RiverRock Retail Group.

Madison Street Partners, a real estate services company in Irvine, added Scott Granger as a partner.

Laguna Beach-based Kahl & Goveia, a real estate development, acquisition and management company, added Thomas E. McDonough as partner. Prior to joining Kahl & Goveia, McDonough was the national director of acquisitions and dispositions for Regency Centers Corp.

SECURITY

Fountain Valley-based JMG Security Systems, which designs and markets security systems, named Craig Loyd as the company’s sales manager.

TECHNOLOGY

Irvine-based chip designer Solarflare Communications Inc. named Bruce Tolley vice president of marketing.

Susan Boers was named president of Telelogic North America Inc., an Irvine software company that’s part of Sweden’s Telelogic AB.

Irvine-based Zetera Corp., a developer of network storage technology, appointed Tomlinson Rauscher to its executive management team as vice president of engineering. Prior to joining Zetera, Rauscher held executive engineering positions with Xerox Corp., Digi-Data Corp., nStor Corp. and Xyratex International Inc.

TOURISM

Andrew Theodorou was promoted from general manager to vice president of Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort. Theodorou has been with the resort for seven years.
