First American Title Insurance Co., Santa Ana, named Alan K. McCall state counsel for Florida. The 25-year industry veteran has been chairman of the Florida Land Title Association Forms Committee. His responsibilities include responding to questions, drafting and updating underwriting bulletins, handling claims and producing educational programs and seminars.
PriVest Bank, Costa Mesa, appointed Becky McClellan senior vice president and chief financial officer. Most recently, the 22-year industry veteran was chief administrative officer of the bank.

The Muckenthaler Cultural Center of Fullerton appointed Patricia House executive director. House has worked for museums including Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena, the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture/Laboratory of Anthropology in Santa Fe, and the Bowers Museum of Cultural Art in Santa Ana.

Steven A. Larson was named president of National Public Employer Labor Relations Association. Larson, who is director of personnel for the City of Garden Grove, has been a member of the association’s board of directors since 1995.
HEALTHCARE
PacifiCare Dental & Vision elected Lee J. Harris as president of the California Association of Dental Plans for the new term of May 2001 through May 2003. Harris has been with PacifiCare since 1994 and is the company’s chief dental officer.

Fisher & Phillips LLP’s Irvine office welcomed Christopher Boman as an associate. Prior to joining the firm, Boman was with Bonne, Bridges, Mueller, O’Keefe & Nichols both as law clerk and then as an associate.

Denise Dres was promoted to vice president of modular systems sales for Irvine-based DisplayWorks. Prior to joining the firm, Dres was manager of marketing and North American telesales with MicroSim Corp. As a vice president, she will develop and implement operating plans and training programs for incoming modular systems, and lead DisplayWorks newest design studio located in Los Angeles.
Ian Chart was promoted to vice president, director of regulatory affairs for AMVAC Chemical Corp., Newport Beach. Chart is also managing director of the firm’s European office, AMVAC Chemical UK, Ltd. Prior to joining the firm, Chart was with hematology/clinical chemistry department of the Central Toxicology Laboratory of ICI/Zeneca.
Gary Hunt was named account manager for Grays Harbor Paper’s southwest region. He is based in San Clemente, overseeing Southern California, Southern Nevada and Arizona. Hunt was formerly with 3M Corp. for 18 years, primarily in the carbonless papers group.
Prolong International Corp., Irvine, added Gerry Martin and Richard McDermott to its board of directors. Martin has been the president of Newport Beach-based CMI since 1974, while McDermott has been the president of RLM Properties/RLM Realty, Dana Point, since 1975.

Irvine-based Specialized Marketing Services Inc. announced three executive positions: Mike Shudak, senior vice president of finance; Rick Wedeking, vice president of strategic business development; and Wilma Yowell, senior vice president of sales and marketing. The OC Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation announced officers to serve on its board of directors executive committee: Sandy Finestone, president; Heidi Shurtleff, president elect; Ginny Espenship, past president; Sally Molnar, secretary; Joyce Kirchhofer, treasurer; and Sharon Turner, legal counsel.
Roger Burtner of Fullerton and Richard Harms of Yorba Linda were re-elected to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home of the West’s board of directors. Burtner is a founder of Concordia University and the OC Performing Arts Center, while Harms is a professor and chairman of business administration at Concordia University. In addition, the organization added three individuals to its executive staff in Fountain Valley: Stephen Kelley, vice president of resource development; Joyce Nyberg, director of public relations and marketing; Paul Sears, director of facilities.

Newport Beach-based Swinerton Builders named Robert Cashin project executive for the company’s special projects group. Cashin will oversee the special project development group and construction for the Orange County division. Prior to joining Swinerton, Cashin worked as vice president of operations for Sundt Construction in Southern California.

Abby Areinoff Harbicht joined Pacific Sunwear of California Inc., Anaheim, as vice president of human resources. Most recently, the 22-year veteran was vice president of worldwide human resources for The Disney Stores.
Anaheim-based Bridgford Foods Corp. named Ray Lancy vice president. Prior to joining the firm, Lancy was with what’s now PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he became treasurer in 1994.

Newport Beach-based inhouseIT named a 14-year industry veteran, Craig McHugh director of sales. In addition, the firm appointed Steve Bender director of business development.
PC World promoted Susan Green to western advertising director. Green is based in its Irvine office. Previously, Green was a member of the InfoWorld sales staff.
Tustin-based Airshow welcomed Gary Glynn as senior vice president, sales and marketing. Most recently, Glynn was vice president of marketing, sales and business development for the airlines and avionics product business unit at Honeywell International Inc. Mike Tiffany joined the firm as director, marketing. Tiffany previously worked for Xerox Corp. In addition, Alan Bearden was promoted to vice president, sales.
Newport Beach-based Koll Construction LP promoted a 25-year industry veteran, Thomas Tshudin, to vice president of business development. His new responsibilities include developing new corporate, commercial and institutional clients across the U.S. and in Asia.
