Accounting

Bruce Allen was appointed senior practice development manager for the Pacific Southwest technology and communications practice of the Costa Mesa Deloitte & Touche office.


Advertising

Wahlstrom & Company, Fountain Valley, promoted Craig Swanson to vice president of marketing. Swanson previously was director of marketing; he joined the company in 1987.


Automotive

Reza Marivani joined DWD2 Success Distribution Inc., Anaheim, as national sales manager. DWD2 provides an evaporator system cleaner as an option on new cars.


Banking and Finance

Eldorado Bank promoted Diana Johnson to vice president in the Huntington Beach office. Johnson will manage the branch and focus on customer service.


Construction

Stella Escario-Doiron was named director of business development and facilities planning at PC Associates, Tustin. Most recently, Escario-Doiron was director of facilities planning and construction for the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District.

Daniel Westman was added as residential division manager at Andrew L. Youngquist Construction, Costa Mesa, while Brandon D. Jones was named residential project manager.


Government

The Orange County Board of Supervisors appointed 44 business and community leaders to oversee state and federal funding allocated for an Orange County Employment Center. Among those named were: Bob Bunyan, Shea Properties; LaDonna Butler, Saddleback Memorial Hospital; president of Cal State Fullerton, Dr. Milton A. Gordon; Leslie Purdy, Coast Community College; Gary W. Matkin, UC Irvine; Superintendent of the Orange County Department of Education John F. Dean; Linda Sanchez-Valentine, treasurer of the Central Labor Council; President of the Central Labor Council Rick Eiden; and director of the Southern California Indian Center, Paula Starr.

Chris Mears was appointed to the Irvine Planning Commission. Mears has been an Irvine resident for 15 years and is employed as a consumer rights attorney.


Human Resources

Strategic HR Services, Newport Beach, added Joanna Van Oss as national director of the staffing division. Van Oss will oversee a team of recruiters who will provide staffing services to clients.


Insurance

Pacific Life & Annuity Company, Fountain Valley, promoted Michael P. Fenton to vice president of group finance. Fenton has been with the company for 13 years and has been second vice president of corporate financial control since 1991.


Manufacturing

Jack Pouchet was added as the marketing director at Racal Instruments in Irvine. Pouchet has 20 years of experience in the OEM power supply industry and was previously with Lambda Electronics as director of sales and marketing.


Organizations

The Women in Business Organization recently elected a Board of directors for the upcoming year. Officers are: Linda Kaplan, president; Bobbie Cooper, vice president of finance; Norma Cooper, vice president of marketing; and Myra Manahan and Maryann Goodman, board members at large.


Real Estate

Charles Ware is the new director of governmental relations for Rancho Mission Viejo LLC, San Juan Capistrano. Rancho Mission Viejo is responsible for the development of the family-owned 30,000-acre plot in South Orange County.


Technology

Irvine Sensors Corp., Costa Mesa, appointed Stephen Crisham vice president of business development. Crisham has over 20 years of experience in marketing and business development and was most recently managing director of the Wellington Group Inc.

Patricia Gilhooly joined Wyle Electornics, Irvine, as director of training and development, a newly created position. Gilhooly was previously manager of training design at Disneyland.

Sonance, San Clemente, named Mitchell Whitten vice president of product planning and design and Maryanne Palermo quality systems manager. Sonance creates audio systems and home theater products.

Ronald J. Fikert is now chief financial officer at FieldCentrix in Irvine.

Costa Mesa-based Emulex Corp. appointed Andrew Barrowman to vice president, engineering. Barrowman, who will be responsible for all hardware and software development for the company’s fibre channel business, will report to Ron Quagliara, senior vice president of research and development and chief technology officer. Barrowman was previously director of systems development at Itron and is a 30-year industry veteran.

Peter Ganga was named director of international sales and marketing for EcomTextile, Fullerton, a business-to-business Internet site for the textile industry. Ganga will oversee the company’s overseas expansion. He reports to John Adams, the company’s CEO.

Aliso Viejo-based eFEDERAL Inc., a business-to-government procurement ecommerce portal, appointed Lt. Gen. Thomas G. McInerney to its board of directors to provide strategic direction for the company. Efederal is privately held and funded by Internet incubator ThinkTank.
