ADVERTISING

FCB Southern California hired Scott Anderson as director of public relations. Before joining FCB, Anderson was account supervisor, public relations at the Detroit office of FCB Worldwide.


ARCHITECTURE

Jay Todisco was named principal at Ware & Malcomb Architects of Irvine. Todisco joined the company in 1998 as regional director for the Irvine corporate office.

JBZ Architecture + Planning named Anastacio “Cachi” Martinez a principal of the Newport Beach firm. In addition, the firm’s controller, Patricia Towle, was promoted to associate.


BANKING AND FINANCE

Guy Joseph Roney III joined Corporate Capital Group as senior vice president. The 25-year industry veteran has expertise in real estate, development, acquisitions and project management.


CONSTRUCTION

DMK hired Dan MacHale as a senior estimator for the Tustin-based office.


EDUCATION

Chapman University promoted Sheryl A. Bourgeois to vice president for university relations and Susan Knopick to director of planning. The university also hired Bobbi Fisher as director of development for the university relations division and Susan Hixon as prospect researcher.


ENGINEERING

Hall & Foreman Inc., a civil engineering and land surveying firm, appointed J. Marconi to entitlement coordinator.


GOVERNMENT

Barbara Kent was appointed to he Business Advisory Council, an arm of the National Republican Congressional Committee, for the state of California.


HEALTHCARE

Susan Solomon was named vice president of corporate communications and marketing at Memorial Health Services in Fountain Valley. Prior to the promotion, Solomon was the system’s director of marketing and public relations.

Alteer Corp. named Ed Allison senior vice president of operations. Allison will oversee day-to-day operations, sales training and technical service departments.


HOSPITALITY

Jeroen Gerrese joined Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort as general manager. Gerrese spent the past three years at Moscow’s Marriott Royal Hotel where he was the opening general manager.


HUMAN RESOURCES

Andrew Johnson was promoted to senior vice president, senior executive services of Lee Hecht Harrison. Johnson was previously vice president and consultant. The company also appointed Susan Howington vice president of business development in the Irvine office.

Pacific Executive Search Group Inc., Irvine, promoted Crystal J. Hart to director of professional services, and Mary Patterson and Brett Cotter to directors of information technology services.


LAW

Klinedinst, Fliehman & McKillop named Douglas B. Gordon of counsel at its Santa Ana office. Gordon’s expertise includes Internet and e-commerce law, employment law, intellectual property, real estate and mergers and acquisitions.

The Irvine office of McDermott, Will & Emery added two corporate partners: John J. Giovannone and Karen I. Calhoun. Giovannone specializes in corporate, securities and commodities law, while Calhoun focuses on corporate and securities matters.

Roger Marken and Don Erickson joined Murtaugh, Miller, Meyer & Nelson LLP’s Irvine office as partners. Both came to the firm from Arter & Hadden LLP.


RETAIL

Phobo.com appointed Marc Malkin manager of public relations and communications. Malkin was previously senior public relations account executive for Westlake Village-based Bear Advertising Inc.

WAXIE Sanitary Supply promoted Mark Petty to vice president of corporate accounts. Petty will work to increase corporate, national and chain accounts.


TECHNOLOGY

Go2 Systems Inc., Irvine, hired Mark Friend as vice president of strategic sales. Friend will focus on go2’s Northern and Southern California offices.

HID Corp. promoted John Menzel to director of technology integration, a position that includes oversight of the overall marketing strategy for the company’s embedded proximity technology products.

Tracy Price, former president and CEO of Mesa Energy Systems, was named president of FieldCentrix in Irvine.

Michael W. Drury was appointed vice president of marketing for Enfrastructure in Aliso Viejo. Before joining the company, Drury was vice president of marketing at BizBuyer.com.

Twin Paradox, Lake Forest, hired Stephanie Wens as corporate communications manager. Wens was most recently with IMC Networks and previously worked for Nu Horizons Electronics.

Irvine-based Rand Technology, a woman-owned electronic components distributor, added the following people to its sales staff: Todd Heggie, Bob Graham, Maria Ishiguro, Shawn McCling and Sheryl Vogt. Heggie has worked with Xerox Corp. and Lanier Worldwide; Graham spent 11 years with Lanier Worldwide; Ishiguro is a 10-year sales veteran; McCling comes from a sales position at Gateway/ALR; and Vogt has held sales positions with Future, Avnet and Arrow.


TELECOMMUNICATIONS

Risa Bohrer was hired as a senior network consultant for Lightyear in its Santa Ana sales office. The company, based in Louisville, Ky., provides services to small-and medium-sized businesses and is creating a facilities-based data network.
