ARCHITECTURE

Jack Andersen joined the Irvine office of Omni Design Group as office director.

Irvine architectural and interior design firm Ware Malcomb hired Beth Bakulich as corporate recruiter. Bakulich previously was an independent recruiter for architectural, engineering and construction companies.

CONSULTING

Rancho Santa Margarita-based Paragon Decision Resources Inc. appointed Chris Furlotte western regional vice president. Furlotte joined the company in 1994 and has spent three years in its consulting services division.

CONSTRUCTION

St. Louis-based McCarthy Building Cos. promoted Paul Kinsley from senior pre-construction director to chief estimator in the company’s Newport Beach office.

EDUCATION

Santa Ana-based Corinthian Colleges Inc. promoted Mary H. Barru to executive vice president of academic affairs. She has been with the college since 1998 and previously served as Corinthian’s vice president, education, and senior vice president, academic affairs. Mark L. Pelesh was named executive vice president of legislative and regulatory affairs. He previously served as a partner leading the education law group in the Washington, D.C., office of Drinker, Biddle & Reath LLP.

HEALTHCARE

Costa Mesa-based ICN Pharmaceuticals Inc. named Charles J. Bramlage as president, European operations. Bramlage will be responsible for ICN’s Western, Central and Eastern Europe markets. Bramlage previously served as president and chief executive of Columbus, Ohio-based BattellePharma Inc.

PacifiCare Behavioral Health, the managed behavioral healthcare unit of Cypress-based PacifiCare Health Systems Inc., named Ann McClanathan vice president, sales and marketing. She will be responsible for nationwide marketing and sales development. McClanathan joins PacifiCare from Cigna Behavioral Health, where she served as senior vice president, distribution, account services and business development.

INSURANCE

Heritage General Agency in Laguna Hills hired Nancy Terrill as underwriter and broker. Terrill brings 25 years of experience with her, including work at Allstate Insurance Co., Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. and National Interstate of Ohio.

LAW

Kring & Chung LLP in Irvine hired Sarah Ahn as associate attorney for their business and corporate department. Ahn joins Kring & Chung from the Oakland firm of Wong & Associates.

Rebecca Callahan joined Irvine-based Broker & Associates Professional Corp. Callahan specializes in creditors’ and debtors’ rights, workouts, insolvency, structured business planning and all areas of commercial and bankruptcy litigation.

REAL ESTATE

Shaun R. McCullough joined Charles Dunn Co. as an associate. McCullough will work out of company’s Seal Beach office.

Irvine-based MBK Homes appointed George Schader to senior vice president. He previously served as vice president of land acquisition for MBK.

Wayne Woodyard joined First Team Real Estate’s Laguna Beach office as office manager.

SERVICES

Mission Viejo-based Merit Property Management Inc. promoted Bert DeMascio to district manager. DeMascio’s responsibilities include management of homes under homeowner’s associations and supervision of staff. DeMascio joined the company in 1998.

SPORTS

The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim hired and promoted five employees: Pat Navarro was named human resources business partner. Navarro was formerly in corporate human resources at Walt Disney Co. Veronica Tarnofsky was appointed marketing and database manager. Kevin Ramirez was named Mighty Ducks’ senior end-user computer analyst. Ramirez joins the Mighty Ducks from Walt Disney. Scott Johnson was named publications and communications representative. Johnson comes to the Ducks from the media relations department at Loyola Marymount University. Jason Davis was promoted to event service representative. Davis has been with the Mighty Ducks for six years.
