John Meston was named group vice president for the fluid, management and control systems branch at Irvine-based Parker Aerospace, a unit of Cleveland-based Parker Hannifin Corp. Meston previously was general manager for the company’s control systems division in Irvine and Dublin, Ga.
BANKING
Costa Mesa-based Pacific Premier Bancorp named Kenneth A. Boudreau independent director of its board. Boudreau is president and chief executive at MC Gill Corp. in El Monte.
David Cobb was promoted to senior vice president of credit administration and Maureen Finn was promoted to regional vice president for Orange County at Newport Beach’s Mellon 1st Business Bank, a unit of Pittsburgh-based Mellon Financial Corp.
Yorba Linda-based Old Canal Financial Corp. appointed Karen Hernandez as chief financial officer and executive vice president.
Damon Smith, personal banker at the Wells Fargo Tustin branch, and Daniel Wilbur, personal banker at Wells Fargo Lake Mission Viejo branch, were named investment consultants with Newport Beach-based Wells Fargo Investments. They now are able to offer mutual funds.
EDUCATION
Alfredo M. Amezcua was elected as president, John R. Hanna as vice president and Phillip E. Yarbrough as clerk to the board of Rancho Santiago Community College District.
MILITARY
Brig. Gen. James P. Combs was named 27th commander of the 40th Infantry Division at the Joint Forces Training Base at Los Alamitos.
NONPROFIT
Carole Zavala was named interim executive director at Orange County Head Start Inc., a nonprofit focused on child development. Zavala replaces Adolfo Munoz.
REAL ESTATE
The Home Builders Council elected Joanie Madrid president for 2005-2006. Madrid, senior project manager at Newport Beach-based Capital Pacific Homes, a unit of Capital Pacific Holdings Inc., has been a member of the council since 2001.
Wasatch Advantage Group LLC, a Mission Viejo-based developer, added Kipling “Kip” S. Sheppard as chief executive. Sheppard most recently was executive vice president of Simpson Housing Solutions LLC in Long Beach.
Amy Chaddock was named director of client relations and senior associate at Hanley Brown Group Real Estate Advisors. Chaddock formerly worked as a real estate representative at Albertson’s Regional Corp. in Fullerton.
Irvine-based CIP Real Estate Property Ser-vices, a real estate investment and management company, named Mike McGlone vice president of finance and chief financial officer. McGlone previously was chief financial officer, chief operating officer and president of Hanford Hotels Inc.
