Foothill Ranch-based retailer Wet Seal Inc. appointed Charles Torok as vice president, logistics. Torok previously held a similar position with Philadelphia-based Mothers Work Inc., a designer and marketer of maternity clothes.
ARCHITECTURE
San Juan Capistrano-based Focus 360 Architectural Communications, which creates computer-generated images of residential, commercial and industrial developments for homebuilders, hired Cayce Justus and Daniel Carlini as project directors.
Irvine-based Ware Malcomb made three new hires: Rick Hallenbeck was added as a project manager in the commercial department; Elisa Sohn was hired as senior job captain; and Jimmy Nhieu joined the interiors department as job captain.
HEALTHCARE
Western Dental Services Inc. in Orange appointed Louis J. Amendola as dental director. Western Dental Services provides dental and orthodontic care services to customers in California and Arizona.
LAW
Phoenix-based Snell & Wilmer LLP added Scott Kanter to its Irvine office. Kanter’s practice focuses on product liability litigation.
Los Angeles-based Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP hired Jonathan Pink as a partner. Pink will head the firm’s intellectual property practice group in Costa Mesa.
LEISURE
Orange Coast Yachts in Newport Beach, which markets new and used yachts, hired Paul D. Enghauser to its sales and marketing team. Enghauser has 30 years of corporate marketing experience.
Dale L. Dykema, founder, chairman and chief executive of Santa Ana-based T.D. Service Financial Corp., was appointed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger as a member of the board of directors of the Orange County Fair. Dykema will serve a four-year term at the board, which sets and approves policies for the Orange County Fair & Exposition Center in Costa Mesa.
NONPROFIT
The Orange County affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in Costa Mesa elected six officers to serve on its board of directors for 2004-2005: Aletha Anderson, president; Marica Pendjer, president-elect; Sandy Firestone, past president; Kathy Yhip, secretary; Sally Molnar, treasurer; and Sara Parker, legal counsel.
The Irvine Chamber of Commerce added Brien Manning to the position of vice president of business development. Manning will be responsible for managing Destination Irvine, the economic development arm of the chamber. He also will represent the chamber to business leaders and the general public.

McCarthy Building Cos. in Newport Beach hired Dan Dumke as senior project manager and Jay Helekar as estimator. Dumke is a construction industry veteran of more than two decades while Helekar brings seven years of experience in the industry to McCarthy.
Steve Jasa joined Western National Realty Advisors as vice president. Western National is a development and property management company based in Irvine.
Newport Beach-based Olen Properties Corp. hired Todd Frye as director of marketing for its office and industrial holdings. Frye previously served as an assistant vice president with CarrAmerica Realty Corp. in Washington, D.C.
Atlanta-based Beazer Homes USA Inc. appointed Jody Lane as its human resources manager for Southern California. Lane previously served as a senior human resources administrator for seven years at Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. of Savannah, Ga.
