CONSTRUCTION
Roel Construction Co. promoted Lorraine Herren from project engineer to assistant project manager at the San Diego-based company’s Irvine office.
EDUCATION
Glenn Mondo, managing partner of Weule, Ballard & Mondo, was appointed to the board at the Orange County High School of the Arts, which trains students in the arts. Mondo will be responsible for the operations, finance, personnel and arts and academic instructional programs related to the school.
ELECTRONICS
Samsung Electronics America’s information technology division in Irvine named Jay Shears as director of office automation. Shears will be responsible for all marketing and strategic planning for Samsung’s office automation products. He spent the past eight years with Epson America Corp. as director of marketing and product management.
ENGINEERING
Gregory Henk joined Carter & Burgess Inc. as a vice president and manager of strategic programs for the company’s transportation services. Henk also will assist in the pursuit of design-build and public-private projects. Before coming to Carter & Burgess, Henk was vice president of HBG Con-structors Inc. He is a fellow in the American Society of Civil En-gineers and the Institute of Transportation Engineers and serves on the board of the American Road and Transportation Builders Association.
RFB Consulting’s Irvine office appointed Herman Chang and Yeong Shih associates. Charlie Marr, Cindy Miller, Greg Rende and Sal Sheikh were promoted to senior associate.
Wright Engineers named Scott Jones manager of the newly opened Irvine office. He will direct all Southern California operations.
FINANCE
Citigroup Private Bank appointed Jeff J. Saccacio director of West Coast trust and estate services. Saccacio specializes in planning for wealthy people, entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses. He has been named one of the best financial advisors in the country by Worth magazine for the past five years. Saccacio previously was client service director at myCFO Inc.
HEALTHCARE
Costa Mesa-based Prescription Solutions, a unit of Cypress-based PacifiCare Health Systems Inc., appointed Edmund Pezalla to the position of vice president and medical director. Prior to joining Prescription Solutions, Pezalla served as chief of pediatrics for Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Fremont.
Alan Cortez was named Kaiser Permanente’s clinical chief of pediatrics. Cortez is a pediatrician and pediatric endocrinologist and has been with Kaiser since 1998. Most recently he served as physician-in-charge at Kaiser’s Euclid Medical Office in Anaheim.
MARKETING
Vinny Lupenski was named vice president of sales and marketing for the field sales division at Lake Forest-based Price Pfister, a Black & Decker Corp. unit that makes home faucets and shower products. Lupenski has worked with Black & Decker for more than 12 years.
Morgan Marketing & Public Relations named Danny Craig as account executive. He will serve as a copywriter, media relations specialist, client contact, copy editor and business manager. Prior to joining Morgan, Craig was the public information officer for Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona.
REAL ESTATE
Grubb & Ellis Co. named Bob Osbrink president of transaction services. Osbrink joined Grubb & Ellis in 1988 and most recently served as regional managing director of the Southwest and Western regions. He will work in the Newport Beach office.
The Orange Coast Association of Realtors appointed Robert “Bob” Milliken as president. Milliken, a 27-year resident and veteran of the Orange County real estate market, has served as a member of the association’s board for the past three years. He works for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Strada Properties.
