Lighthouse Venture Group named Aileen Mallari Vogelvang office administrator. She will support the advertising and marketing agency’s management, sales and production staff and provide input into marketing and promotional programs.
ARCHITECTURE
KTGY Group Inc. of Irvine added David Senden as a senior designer. Senden specializes in designing mid- to high-density residential projects. He has a master’s in architectural design from Tulane University.
BANKING
J. Chris Walsh joined Commercial Capital Bancorp Inc. as executive vice president and head of its relationship banking subsidiary, Commercial Capital Bank, in Irvine. Walsh will head the bank’s commercial, private and retail relationship efforts and serve on the bank’s executive and asset/liability committees.
HOSPITALITY
Harold Rapoza was named manager of the Hilton Anaheim by Hilton Hotels Corp. He previously served as director of revenue management and front office operations for Doubletree Guest Suites Doheny Beach in Dana Point since 2000. He has been with Hilton for 11 years, starting as a guest service agent in Portland, Ore.
INSURANCE
Standard Insurance Co., part of StanCorp Financial Group Inc., appointed Daniel Burger sales representative for the Orange County retirement plans office. Burger previously worked in the company’s Seattle and San Francisco offices.
MANAGEMENT
Irvine-based Sares Regis Group named Larry Lukanish vice president of the commercial investment division. He is responsible for overseeing the group’s investment property acquisitions. Since 1994, Lukanish has acted as the division’s senior financial analyst and acquisition officer. He previously was a secondary marketing executive for a residential mortgage banker in Irvine.
MARKETING
Erin Scherfenberg was appointed account coordinator at the Peterson Group in Newport Beach. She’ll execute projects through coordination of the agency’s copywriting, art, and production departments. She’ll also schedule production and maintain client correspondence.
Herb Hite was named president of Irvine-based DisplayWorks, which recently was bought by MICE Group PLC. He will oversee the company’s West Coast offices. He has more than 20 years of trade show management experience and was chief operating officer at DisplayWorks. He also served as president and general manager of the Los Angeles office of Exhibitgroup/Giltspur for more than four years.
REAL ESTATE
L. Paul Fisher joined the Newport Beach office of NAI Capital Commercial Real Estate Services Inc. as a senior associate, specializing in the sale and leasing of industrial properties in Orange County. Fisher was an industrial specialist with Collins Commercial Corp. and was involved in leasing numerous manufacturing, warehouse and industrial facilities in the Cerritos Business Park.
Richard A Hawthorne joined the Newport Beach office of NAI Capital Commercial Real Estate Services Inc. as a senior vice president. Hawthorne specializes in investment sales. He was principal of Hawthorne Development Co. and has experience in development, marketing, sales and leasing.
SERVICES
Procurement Services Associates hired Travis Williams as vice president of its Tustin Office. He will lead the office’s development of consortium buying, outsourcing, consulting, training and staffing service lines.
TECHNOLOGY
Jan DeSantis was appointed sales manager by Irvine-based Altusen. Altusen is a new company launched in May. She will plan and oversee a sales program. DeSantis also will build channel ties with resellers of Altusen products.
SimpleTech Inc. of Santa Ana named John Smith vice president of original equipment manufacturer sales. His staff will include sales personnel, manufacturer representatives and distributors. He has worked at AMI Semiconductor Inc. and Texas Instruments Inc.
Dan Powell joined Irvine-based Toshiba America Information System Inc.’s Computer Systems Group as vice president and general manager for the group’s relationship sales business unit. He also will serve as corporate officer for Toshiba America Information Systems. Powell will provide strategic guidance to increase revenue and grow Toshiba’s enterprise business operations in the U.S.
VIDEO PRODUCTION
Independent producer Meredith Cruse joined Huntington Beach-based, video production company Danna Group. She will be production head at Danna. For the past year, she has worked as a freelance producer on several Danna projects. She previously worked at Morgan Creek Productions and was involved in the development and production of “Ace Ventura II” and “Major League III: Back to the Minors,” among other films.
