Bruce Miller was hired as audit manager at the Irvine office of Santa Monica-based Stonefield Josephson Inc. Miller most recently was audit manager at Tally and Co. in Orange.

Anaheim’s Beach Bums Inc. hired Jill Lopez as regional manager for its Beach Bums Boardshops stores. The company has nine California locations and one in Las Vegas. It plans to add five more by year’s end.

Suzanne Myers became vice president and senior relationship manager at Rancho Santa Margarita-based South County Bank.
CONSULTING
Tim Porter, Jeanne Hebert and Carol Horn joined the staff of Irvine-based Client Advocate Network, which matches service providers, such as accountants, bankers and attorneys, with businesses.
EDUCATION
Dan Boyle was reappointed to the board of Novi, Mich.-based Learning Care Group Inc. Boyle is owner of a Tutor Time franchise school in Laguna Niguel and owner of LaPazGroup Inc.
GOVERNMENT
Jim Palmer was appointed to the California Mental Health Services Act Steering Committee of Orange County. Palmer is the president of the Orange County Rescue Mission and a County Housing and Community Development commissioner.
HEALTHCARE
Irvine-based SK & A; Information Services Inc. hired Don Covel as director of inside sales and Alyssa Bentley as account manager. The company is a provider of healthcare technology services.
HOSPITALITY
J.D. Shafer was named general manager at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach. Shafer formerly worked for Hyatt Hotels Corp. and is a member of the board of the Huntington Beach Conference and Visitors Bureau.
INSURANCE
Julian Son Le was appointed as an agency executive for Columbus, Ohio-based Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co.’s Central Orange County unit. Le is the owner of Le Financial and Insurance Services in Westminster. He’s also one of the founders of First Vietnamese American Bank.
Irvine-based SullivanCurtisMonroe Insurance Brokerage appointed Bob A. Williford as vice president. Williford, who specializes in the construction industry, previously was with Willis Insurance Services in Los Angeles.
MANUFACTURING
Jerry A. Rose was hired as chief executive at Newport Beach-based RSI Home Products Inc., a unit of RSI Holding Corp. Rose worked for General Electric Co. for two decades. RSI makes bathroom vanities, cultured marble countertops and medicine cabinets.
Santa Ana-based QuantumSphere Inc., a maker of metallic materials for the aerospace, defense, energy, biomedical and other industries, named Mark Fullerton senior research and development scientist.
NONPROFIT
The Orange County chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation named 10 people to its board: Suzie Davidson, Chris Carlton, Jennifer Condas, Karen Hill, Kevin Coleman, Adrienne Thomas, David St. Amant, Jessica Ching, Bob Mercer and Cindy Dreyer.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Orange County chapter, appointed Kelly Kerins as volunteer resources manager. Kerins most recently was with the University of California, San Diego, where she worked as program coordinator for Athena, a networking and personal development group.
Ann Coil was named president of Women in Business of Orange County, a group of executives who work toward enhancing the impact of women at work and in their communities. Coil is principal at Coil & Associates, a career-consulting company in Santa Ana.

Bloomfield, Mich.-based Pulte Homes promoted Scott Christman to vice president of finance for its Orange County and South Riverside division at its Irvine office.
Jessica LeDuff was added as community association manager at the Irvine headquarters of Keystone Pacific Property Management Inc. LeDuff earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine.
Irvine-based Passco Real Estate Enterprises Inc. hired Ogal B. Claspell Jr. as vice president of realty investments. Claspell formerly was vice president at CS Capital Management Inc.
Jerry LaPointe was appointed vice president of acquisitions for Western National Realty Advisors, the apartment investment unit of Irvine-based Western National Group.
Hopkins Real Estate Group promoted Dennis Reyling to chief operating officer from vice president of development at its Irvine headquarters.
