Corbin & Wertz hired Scott L. Capifoni as principal in the business management consulting practice. Capifoni, a 10-year accounting professional, previously worked in the technology consulting department at Haskell & White. In addition, Greg Arbues was named partner-in-charge of practice development. He has been with the firm for three years.

Bates USA West appointed Josie Song as associate media director and Trista Torrez as media supervisor. Song comes to Bates USA from Deutsch Inc., while Torrez was previously with Saatchi & Saatchi.
ARCHITECTURE
MBH Architects, Newport Beach, added seven architects to its studio: David Lacey, director of quality assurance and operations; Milford Moralde, project manager; Sal Serpico, Mohan Pradhan and Emad Michael, senior project managers; and Ning Chang and Samuel Saludo as senior designers.
Kevin L. Henrion joined GKK Corp., Irvine, as a project architect. Henrion has over 25 years of national and international experience in the industry.
Thomas P. Cox Architects added Daniel Gehman as senior designer to its Irvine office. Gehman will focus on design and coordination for mixed use, retail and commercial projects. In addition, the firm hired Alan Hoops as project manager. Hoops will focus on design and coordination of high-density urban infill projects.

The Festival of Arts and Pageant of Masters, Laguna Beach, elected Scott Moore president; in addition, Roger A. Grable was appointed attorney-of-record and Bob Dietrich and Dianne Reardon were appointed to open board positions.
FINANCE
Global Vantage, an international financial services firm based in Newport Beach, named Frank Limbaugh principal. Limbaugh will specialize in developing agreements in technology-sector leasing and asset-based lending.
HEALTHCARE
Ramiro Tavares and Lian Hu were promoted within the ranks of SK & A; Information Services Inc., an Irvine provider of healthcare database management. Tavares was named director of accounting, while Hu was promoted to accountant.
HOSPITALITY
Michele Bucks was hired by the Anaheim Convention Center to fill the newly created position of sales and marketing manager. Bucks will oversee marketing development, sponsorship relations and booking of consumer show business. Bucks most recently worked with the Los Angeles County Fair Association.
Hilton Anaheim appointed Stephen Hostetter as rooms division manager. Hostetter has 10 years of hotel management experience and was formerly director of human resources at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Dana Point.

Arter & Hadden LLP recently elected attorney Peter K. Rundle to partner in the firm’s Irvine office. Rundle has been with the firm since 1995 and is a member of both the American and Orange County Bar Associations.
JAMS, a provider of alternative dispute resolution services, announced that David L. Price joined the firm’s family law panel. Price has more than 30 years of experience as a family law and civil litigator and 20 years as a private judge.
Steven A. McHolm and Daniel K. Winton joined Snell & Wilmer as partners in the commercial finance and real estate group. Both McHolm and Winton were previously partners at Paone Callahan McHolm & Winton.

Jim Horiuchi was appointed senior copywriter for InterCommunicationsInc., Newport Beach. Horiuchi is an award-winning copywriter who has worked on accounts such as Coca-Cola and Columbia Pictures. The firm also hired Laura Duey as account manager. She will oversee campaigns for residential resort communities, masterplanned communities and mixed-use developments.

The Huntington Beach Community Clinic announced its 2001 board of directors: Philip S. Inglee, chairman; Al Guidotti, vice chair; Maggie Higgins, secretary; Jacqueline Cherewick, continuing CEO; and Craig Furlong, continuing CFO. The Huntington Beach Community Clinic serves the mental health and medical needs of the city by providing its services on a sliding scale fee basis.

Karen Peterson, vice president of sales and marketing for Southland Brands Inc., was appointed president of the Orange County chapter of the Roundtable for Women in Foodservice. Peterson has more than 20 years in the foodservice industry with Pepsico/Pizza Hut, Marriott Management Services and Sega Corp.
