ARCHITECTURE

MBH Architects Inc. hired Gabriel “Gabe” Agraso as job captain of the developer retail studio at its Newport Beach office.

Robert Pankey and Lonnie Wick joined as senior project architects at Irvine-based Ware Malcomb. Albert Bar-celo was hired as project manager and Scott Myers became senior job captain in the commercial department.

Carrie Sheridan was promoted to associate at Taylor in Newport Beach. Since joining the firm in 1998, Sheridan has worked in healthcare architecture.

AUTOMOTIVE

Newport Beach-based Skye Automotive Inc., a unit of Skye Inc., appointed George J. McCabe as president and chief operating officer. McCabe previously was executive vice president and board director of Planet Automotive.

EDUCATION

Charlotte Fox was elected as president of Continuing Learning Experience, a support group, at California State University, Fullerton. Also elected to the 2005-06 board: John Greenwood as treasurer; Beverly Oliver as vice president of membership; Don Jebens as vice president of facilities; Fred Myers as vice president of programs; and Ethel Kamber as vice president of special events. Trustees elected were Rita Cousins, Gene Stelcik, Bob Forrester and Fred Shecter.

Michelle Sutliff was named director of marketing and public relations at Coastline Community College. Sutliff most recently was director of marketing and public relations for a division at Morris Communications Co.

FINANCE

Marcus Silverberg was named senior financial consultant at Western Financial Bank, part of Irvine-based Westcorp.

INSURANCE

Pacific Life Insurance Co. in Newport Beach created an office of the chairman with Thomas C. Sutton continuing as chairman and chief executive and Glenn Schafer being appointed to the newly added position of vice chairman. Jim Morris became executive vice president and chief insurance office and Mark Holmlund was named executive vice president of investments.

NONPROFIT

The Child Abuse Prevention Center of Orange County appointed Greg J. DeVille, senior vice president of Beech Street Corp., to its board.

David Threshie, director of market segmentation at the Orange County Register, was elected to the board at Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.

The J.F. Shea Therapeutic Riding Center in San Juan Capistrano added Susan Martin as development manager and Nancy Riggs as volunteer coordinator.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

Newport Beach-based Government Solutions Inc., a government, community and media relations firm, promoted Stephanie Kyle to senior associate.

REAL ESTATE

Irvine-based Granite Homes named Jennifer Flores director of human resources. Prior to joining the company, Flores served as product analyst with the Automobile Club of Southern California.

SECURITY

Santa Ana-based Orange County Fire Alarm Inc. added Evan Schlackman as vice president of sales. Schlackman previously was business development manager at Detection Logic Fire Protection Inc. in Irvine.

SERVICES

Mission Viejo-based 360 Business Consulting added Bridget DiRico as partner. DiRico formerly was assistant vice president of marketing for Franchise Services Inc.

Chicago-based Acquity Group LLC, an electronic business consulting company, added Greg Aimone as account manager at its Irvine office.

TECHNOLOGY

Thomas Anthony, cofounder and former chief executive of Media Temple Inc., was appointed as director of business development at 2Advanced.net, an Aliso Viejo-based Web hosting company.

Michael Carroll was named to the board of Huntington Beach-based TECSys Development Inc., a provider of device and application management software services. Carroll is senior vice president and general counsel of Medallion Financial Corp.

Gary Fuller was promoted to the newly created position of vice president of business products at Cypress-based Christie Digital Systems Inc., a provider of display technologies and solutions.

Huntington Beach-based Alphalogix Inc., a provider of software and services, named John J. Mudge president and chief operating officer. The company also appointed Michael Conley as vice president of sales for its newly formed products division.

Jackie Porras was added as manager of project administration and Alan Koebrick and Pat Nelson were hired as project managers at Tustin-based Worldlink Integration Group Inc. The company is set to move its headquarters to Irvine this summer.

TRANSPORTATION

Santa Ana-based Gold Coast Limousine named Gwen Bernal director of operations. Prior to joining the company, Bernal served as administration and human resources manager for Village Nurseries in Orange.
