ACCOUNTING

Irvine-based Haskell & White LLP, an accounting, auditing and tax consulting firm, promoted nine team members to senior- and management-level positions: Michelle McDuffie and Dan O’Connor as principals in the tax department; Eric Warbrick to senior manager in tax; Ben Wamsley to manager in tax; Ryan Woodhouse to manager in tax; Eugene Kim to senior in tax; Jenny Lee to senior in tax; Merit Zuniga to senior in tax; and Lee Chang to senior in audit and business advisory services.

ARCHITECTURE

Newport Beach-based H. Hendy Associates added Roger Henley as vice president of finance and John Thomas as project captain. Prior to joining, Henley was vice president of Communications Services International. Thomas’ experience includes commercial, residential and nonprofit projects.

ASSOCIATIONS

Mike Dunbar, general manager of South Coast Water District, was elected as 2006-07 president of the California Association of Sanitation Agencies. The association is made up of 115 public agencies that collect, treat, dispose of and/or recycle wastewater. South Coast Water District provides water and sewer services to several coastal cities in South Orange County.

Ako Shimada Wil-liams, an attorney with Rutan & Tucker LLP in Costa Mesa, joined the board of trustees for Women in Technology International, Orange County chapter. The association is for professional and tech-savvy women.

EDUCATION

Chapman University promoted P.K. Shukla as director of the Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics in the Argyros School of Business and Economics. Shukla previously was associate professor of management. The university also promoted Kevin Ross to associate dean of the Leatherby Libraries. Ross previously was chair of the public services division of the libraries.

MEDIA AND MARKETING

Costa Mesa-based Pacific Communications, a healthcare marketing agency representing Allergan Inc., promoted Ruby Rowe to group account supervisor for glaucoma products, including Lumigan and Combigan. The company also promoted Kun Yang Kim to group program manager, dry eye. Prior to her promotion, Rowe was the account supervisor for Lumigan. Kim previously was a program manager, dry eye.

Santa Ana-based Script to Screen Inc. named Alex Dinsmoor as vice president of business development. Dinsmoor previously held the position of director of marketing at the company.

Specialized Marketing Services Inc., a direct-response marketing agency in Irvine, hired Jeff Simon as creative director. He most recently was associate creative director at Integrated Marketing Works.

NONPROFIT

The Family Violence Project in Santa Ana added Dallas Stout as executive director. Stout previously ran programs for Phoenix House of Orange County and Straight Talk Clinics Inc. The Family Violence Project was founded in 2002 by California Superior Court Judge Pamela Iles.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

Taraneh Arhamsadr joined Faubel Public Affairs in Lake Forest as account coordinator. Arhamsadr had worked at Townsend Public Affairs in Irvine.

REAL ESTATE

Asset Management Con-sultants Inc., a real estate investment firm based in Mission Hills, named Rick Hamilton director of acquisitions at its Newport Beach office. Hamilton was senior director of the financial services group at Cushman & Wake-field Inc./Cushman Realty Corp.

Newport Beach-based Master Development Corp., a developer and general contractor, hired Nayiri Madenlian as chief financial officer and Charles Stos as a senior executive, responsible for new business in San Diego. Madenlian previously was finance manager for CarrAmerica. Stos was a senior associate at CB Richard Ellis Group Inc.’s Anaheim office.

TECHNOLOGY

Mission Viejo-based Incuity Software Inc., a developer of software for manufacturers, added John Theron as chief product officer and vice president of product management. Theron previously was joint chief executive at Ptm, a South Africa company that was bought by Wonderware Corp.
