ACCOUNTING

Ernst & Young LLP’s Hospitality Services Group named Jeffrey T. Dallas practice leader for the Western region. The 15-year hospitality veteran will be based in Los Angeles and oversee all California markets.


ADVERTISING

Lawrence, Mayo & Ponder, Newport Beach, named Rachel Daniels account coordinator. Prior to joining the firm, Daniels was with MusicPlayer3.com, where she was an Internet development and research intern.

Sean E. Trundy joined Aleph Inc., Santa Ana, as director, business development. Previously, Trundy was with Sega Game Works LLC.


ARCHITECTURE

Thomas P. Cox: Architects Inc., Irvine, hired Allan Cornia as senior design architect and Jirair Garabedian as project designer and project manager. Cornia, a 30-year industry veteran, will be responsible for the design and coordination phases for commercial, retail and mixed use projects. Garabedian will work with commercial, retail and mixed use multi-family residential projects.

Lee & Sakahara Architects, Irvine, hired a 20-year industry veteran, Michael J. Heinrich as director of design for both national and international projects. In addition, the firm promoted Carl B. Walls to associate. Walls will be in charge of the firm’s systems management.


BANKING AND FINANCE

Metropolitan West Capital Management LLC, Newport Beach, hired Harold Singleton III as senior vice president and David M. Graham as vice president. Singleton was previously a partner at Brinson Partners Inc. in Chicago. Graham was senior portfolio manager with Wells Fargo Private Client Services.

People’s Bank of California, Irvine, added C. Stephen Mansfield to the board of directors. The 30-year industry veteran comes to People’s Bank from Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he was a senior partner.

Santa Ana-based First American Trust added Thomas M. Linden to the board of directors. Linden is president and CEO of Linco Investment Co., Newport Beach. In addition, the firm named Karen S. Ebbing vice president of corporate services, Nancy Milleen Pettus vice president and counsel for human resources, and John M. Hollenbeck executive vice president overseeing the company’s technology initiatives.

Walter Buttkus joined PureMarkets Corp. as director of sales in Southern California. Buttkus, who was previously vice president and senior account manager for GE Capital, will be based in Orange.


CONSTRUCTION

Gafcon Inc. promoted Bryan Benso to Orange County area manager. Benso has been with the company since 1994 and managed construction projects throughout the Western U.S.


CONSULTING

Costa Mesa-based The Planning Center added four employees: Sean Warner, project planner; Chris Fernandez, designer and planner; Liz Mancini, planner; and John Scull, environmental planner.


EDUCATION

North Orange County Community College’s School of Continuing Education added four instructors to the staff: Dean Day, instructor for the disabled students program and services at SCE’s Cypress Continuing Education Center; Juanita Giampiccolo, matriculation counselor; Daniel Stackhouse, instructor for the basic skills program; and Craig Stephens, instructor for the DSP & S; Adult Basic Life Education.


ENTERTAINMENT

Donna L. Mumford was named assistant vice president, development for the Orange County Performing Arts Center, Costa Mesa. Mumford, previously director of gift planning for Claremont Graduate University, will be responsible for building the Center’s endowment fund.

Newport Beach-based Pretend City, The Children’s Museum of Orange County Inc. hired Jacquin Anastasio as the director of development and capital campaign, and Jessica Ruskin as education, exhibits and program coordinator. Anastasio is the owner of Wrap It, an entertainment company. Ruskin has worked with several children’s museums, including Kidspace in Pasadena.


HEALTHCARE

Vanguard Health System’s La Palma Intercommunity Hospital, La Palma, hired a 23-year industry veteran Paul Wafer as chief operating officer and chief nursing officer. Previously, Wafer was with Centinela Hospital Medical Center.


HOSPITALITY

California Caf & #233; Bar & Grill appointed Rory O’Neal general manager for its new restaurant in Mission Viejo. O’Neal will be responsible for hiring more than 100 employees.

Irvine-based Meyerhof’s and Cuisine M appointed Rob Fee executive chef. Fee will oversee menu development and manage kitchen staff.

Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort, Huntington Beach, hired Paula Pappas as sales manager. Previously, Pappas was with the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, where she was corporate sales account executive.


HUMAN RESOURCES

Strategic HR Services, Costa Mesa, added Jane Drury as a consultant to the firm’s HR advisory division. Drury was previously human resources manager for Hammer Technologies.


INSURANCE

HNC Insurance Solutions, Irvine, announced the following appointments: John D’Alusio, senior vice president, strategic relations; Chris Shannahan, senior vice president, bill review business unit; Alison Gregg, executive director of human resources; and Kell
