AEROSPACE
Robert P. Barker was named president of Parker Aerospace of Irvine, part of Cleveland-based Parker Hannifin Corp. Barker is responsible for fiscal and operational aspects of Parker Aerospace’s 14 divisions. He was vice president of the flight control and hydraulic systems branch. Also, Joel H. Benkie was named group vice president and will take over Barker’s previous job. Previously, Benkie worked at Parker’s control systems military division, also in Irvine.
ARCHITECTURE
JBZ Architecture + Panning of Newport Beach appointed Bobbie Gennaro as executive/marketing assistant and Shari Weisman as public relations manager. Gennaro was executive assistant to the president at John Laing Homes. Weisman was a public relations manager for architecture and planning firm Danielian Associates Inc.
BANKING
David Blankenhorn, president of Harbor National Bank in Newport Beach was elected president of Community Bankers of California at the group’s recent convention. Community Bankers of California is a trade association representing independent banks throughout the state.
Orange County Business Bank appointed Terry Zippwald senior vice president and managing director of the bank’s Newport Beach office.
HEALTHCARE
The board of directors of Costa Mesa-based Medical Eye Services and The Eye Care Network named Aspasia Shappet chief executive officer of the two companies. Currently, she’s president of both operations.
LAW
Irvine-based Snell & Wilmer LLP named two new attorneys to its Orange County office, James T. Meyers and Kathleen R. Yuergens. Meyers earned his law degree from Brigham Young University in 1998. Yuergens graduated from Duke University School of Law in 2002.
NONPROFIT
HomeAid Orange County added Thomas Steele, president of Brea-based Hardwood Creations, to its board of directors. Irvine-based HomeAid builds and renovates shelters for the temporarily homeless.
Donald E. Sodaro chairman and chief executive of Hanford Hotels Inc., was installed as chairman of the Orange County Business Committee for the Arts. Newly elected board members include: Paul Folino, chairman and chief executive of Costa Mesa-based Emulex Corp., who was elected to serve as vice chairman; Jeffrey L. Bennett, director of Tiffany & Co., and Donald B. Murray, chairman and chief executive of Costa Mesa-based Resources Connection Inc.

Pacific Coast Reprographics of Irvine appointed Kimberly Indovina as an account executive. Indovina previously worked in telecommunications and will work with digital color graphics and print.

Allison Thomas was named associate at Mission Viejo-based Keena Communications. She will coordinate community relations projects.
REAL ESTATE
ZipRealty Inc. of Emeryville hired Thomas Goodwill as director of its Orange County office. He will be responsible for recruitment, training and management.
RETAIL
South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa appointed Kathryn Glassmyer director of community relations. Glassmyer was the director of special events at the Orange County Performing Arts Center for seven years.
SERVICES
Irvine-based Logistics provider Aeronet Worldwide named Walter Benvenuto its vice president of sales. Benvenuto has more than 25 years of freight forwarding and supply chain management experience. Also, Aeronet appointed Evan Hodge to general manager for its terminal in Santa Ana. He will be responsible for operations, sales and customer service functions.
Santa Ana-based GeoLogistics Corp. added Christopher Logan as senior vice president of marketing. He joined GeoLogistics from Mercer Management Consulting where he was principal in the transportation group.
TECHNOLOGY
New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of Anaheim, part of New Horizons Worldwide Inc., appointed John Golden vice president of eLearning. He will create programs for small and midsize businesses.
ITT Industries, Cannon of Santa Ana promoted Laguna Niguel’s Olivier Duperray to senior vice president and chief operating officer. He had been president of ITT’s global switch products business.
