RiechesBaird hired Marc Rogers as a Web project manager. Rogers will be responsible for the analysis, design and production of Web-based applications. Prior to joining RiechesBaird, Rogers worked at Blue C Communications as an account executive in new business development.


Banking/ Finance

Scott Hughes joined Escrow.com as vice president of operations. He will oversee customer service, application engineering and integration, escrow services, network operations and human resources. Hughes has over 15 years of experience in supply chain management, business operations, human resources and strategic consulting. Most recently, he was vice president of e-business for Western Digital.

First American Corp. hired James J. Dufficy as regulatory and special counsel. Dufficy is responsible for working with all operations to assure compliance with federal, state and local regulations. As part of his responsibilities, he represents each of the company’s subsidiaries in meetings with state and federal regulators.


Business Services

The consulting firm of Carter & Burgess, Costa Mesa, named Don Caskey and Rick Coleman principals in the firm. Caskey specializes in the design of healthcare, higher education and institutional projects. Coleman is a recognized expert in the design of themed entertainment, office, industrial and institutional projects. With more than 30 years of architecture and planning experience, Coleman has been involved in the design of four major theme parks in the U.S. and Europe.


Construction

Daniel R. Huff was named senior project manager at Pepper Construction in Irvine. Huff has more than 30 years of experience in construction, construction management and project development. Huff previously was senior construction manager for Walt Disney Imagineering and a project manager at Fluor Daniel. At Pepper, he will be responsible for overseeing the design and construction of a $70 million automated distribution center in California’s Inland Empire.


Education

Four fund-raising professionals have joined Chapman University. Annamaria Antoni of Laguna Niguel was named director of development for Chapman’s George L. Argyros School of Business & Economics. She directs the activities of and recruits members for California’s Executive Fellows group and works with the Southern California business community to build corporate partnerships for the school and raise scholarship and program funds. Barbara Bauer was named director of development for the School of Music and the School of Communication Arts. Bauer will help complete fund-raising for a new performance facility for music and dance. Amy Esposito of Riverside was named annual giving program manager. Tom Hall of Santa Ana joined Chapman as a grant writer. Previously, Hall was director of development at the public law center in Santa Ana.


Healthcare

Senior Care Action Network named Linda Rae Carl associate general counsel. Carl will oversee the company’s labor and employment law practices as well as legal regulatory compliance issues. Prior to joining SCAN, Carl was counsel at UHP Healthcare, a nonprofit health maintenance organization.


Human Resources

Management Solutions Inc., Santa Ana, appointed Clark Hill senior recruiter. Hill will drive recruiting and business development efforts for the finance, accounting and human resources practice. Prior to joining MSI, Hill worked in the staffing industry as a business development consultant.


Law

Bullivant Houser Bailey PC, Irvine, added Todd A. Schroeder to its Irvine office. Schroeder is a member of the firm’s litigation practice group and the California State Bar Association. He received his J.D. from Western State University College of Law in 1998.

Creighton D. Mills, partner and senior real estate attorney in the Irvine office of Snell & Wilmer, was appointed to a one-year term on the board of directors for the University of California, Irvine Alumni Association. Mills’ law practice includes over 20 years of experience in Orange County real estate, specializing in commercial, retail and industrial properties.


Manufacturing

Brian Walker was promoted to the newly created position of vice president of sales and marketing at Lennox Hearth Products. Walker was previously director of marketing. Prior positions included vice president, sales and marketing for Speed Queen Co., and vice president of merchandising at Kitchen Aid Inc.


Marketing and Public Relations

Jill Chambers was promoted to account executive at Roxburgh, Costa Mesa. Most recently, Chambers was client services manager and will retain those responsibilities.


Media

Santa Ana-based Post Modern appointed Rick Warren president. Warren joined PME in 1998 as a consultant and was most recently executive vice president of marketing and operations.


Real Estate

Tim Walker joined Voit Commercial Brokerage as a vice president of the company’s South County industrial group. He brings five years of experience specializing in industrial, land and R & D; sales and leasing.

Dina Gartland was named senior manager of business development for Leighton and Associates. Gartland will oversee L & A;’s corporate business development effort and is responsible for long-term planning for the company throughout Orange, Ventura, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Imperial counties.

Joe Winkler joined the Leisure World Laguna Woods community relations division as management analyst. Before joining Leisure World Laguna Woods, Winkler worked for Spectrum Geophysics as a field technician and data analyst.


Security

Chris Ponchak was promoted to sales agent at JMG Security Systems, where he will have marketing responsibility for the North Orange County region. Ponchak joined the security alarm systems company last summer after graduating from the University of Southern California.


Technology

Midwest Systems, St. Paul, appointed Robert Davis vice president of sales. Davis will work to expand the sales and professional services organization in Midwest Systems’ Chicago, Irvine, and St. Paul offices.


Telecommunications

Willtech announced the appointment of Ted Carrier as president and chief executive officer. Carrier was previously chief operating and financial officer of Telcore Inc., a provider of installation and maintenance services to the DSL industry.


Utilities

National Water & Power named Dan Paladino director of business development. Prior to joining NWP, Paladino was national sales manager, non-security groups for Invonics Wireless.
