CONSTRUCTION

Santa Ana-based Sukut Construction Inc. promoted Dave Grattan as president of the environmental division. Grattan joined the company in 1995 as a project manager in the grading division. He has more than 22 years of experience in grading and construction.

EDUCATION

Concordia University in Irvine named Mary Scott as provost and executive vice president and Peter Senkbeil as associate provost. Scott previously was vice president for administration and university relations. Senkbeil most recently was director of theatre activities and chair of fine arts.

ENGINEERING

Dudek & Associates Inc., an engineering and environmental consulting company, added three people to its Irvine office: Guy Stivers as a landscape architect/urban forester, Gerhard Bombe as a landscape architect/certified arborist and Tyler Stevenson as an urban forester/certified arborist. Prior to joining, Stivers owned a landscape architecture firm. Bombe previously worked for the county of Orange for 28 years. Stevenson completed a master’s in urban forest management and worked as a consultant.

HEALTHCARE

Irvine-based Paragon Biomedical Inc., a contract research company that manages clinical trials, appointed Mark Harvill as chief operating officer. Harvill is responsible for leading company operations, including global clinical, biometrics and business development initiatives.

Irvine-based SK & A; Information Services Inc. hired Gidget Herrier as director of business development for custom primary research. Herrier’s drug industry experience includes account analysis, account management and sales. SK & A; creates databases for healthcare providers.

INSURANCE

Lani Vo joined Santa-Ana based Yates & Associates as underwriter/broker. Vo has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.

LAW

James Hill joined McDermott, Will & Emery LLP’s Irvine office as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice. He will focus on medical devices, biotechnology, patent prosecution, intellectual property litigation and corporate due diligence.

MANUFACTURING

Yamaha Corporation of America in Buena Park promoted Nic Chaffee and Kenya Austin as product managers in the accessories department, part of its professional audio and combo division. Chaffee was an intern in the department. Austin was a customer support associate in the division.

NONPROFIT

Art & Creativity for Healing Inc., a therapeutic art center in Laguna Niguel, appointed six directors: Ann Camp, associate curator of development, Orange County Museum of Art; Jacqueline Fairney, manager of management development and training, Capital Group Cos.; Josef Rodarti, senior managing officer of Rodarti Group and senior principal, of Rodarti Group/PDS; Janice Steiner, manager of national clinical accounts, Aperio Technologies Inc.; Robert Winokur, emergency department medical director, Mission Hospital; and Sara Winokur, faculty researcher, department of biological chemistry, University of California, Irvine.

Laura’s House, a San Juan Capistrano-based nonprofit for victims of domestic violence, named Lisa Fujimoto president of its Society of Angels, which provides support for its annual fund-raiser. Fujimoto has more than 24 years of experience with nonprofits.

REAL ESTATE

Professional Community Management of California Inc. hired Doug Ward as community manager and Josh Atchley as assistant general manager. Ward manages properties in Aliso Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita and San Clemente. Atchley supervises personnel for the Sun Lakes Country Club in Banning.

SERVICES

Gary Fitzmorris joined Adelman Travel Group, which specializes in arranging business travel, as a sales manager at the company’s Irvine office. Fitzmorris previously was business development manager for Travel Focus.

DDL West, a Costa Mesa-based package-testing laboratory, hired Karen Greene as technical director. Prior to joining, Greene was director of package engineering at Seltzer Nutritional Technologies.

TECHNOLOGY

Newport Beach-based Conexant Systems Inc. named Bernd Lienhard as senior vice president and general manager of its universal access products. Lienhard previously was vice president of sales and marketing for North America at Qimonda AG, a spinoff from Infineon Technologies AG.

J. Edward Coleman was named chief executive of Irvine-based Gateway Inc. Coleman has 30 years of experience in the technology industry.

NetVersant Solutions Inc. added J.M. Allain to its Orange office as general manager, Southern California region. Prior to joining, Allain was vice president and corporate officer of Adesta LLC in Omaha.
