The T & O; Group, Irvine, named Jennifer McLean vice president, director of public relations. McLean will work with the strategic direction of the public relations division and its clients. Previously, she was vice president of technology at New York-based Stanton Crenshaw Communications, where she launched the company’s west coast office in Huntington Beach.
Marvie Blair has been hired by Newport Beach-based advertising agency Lawrence & Ponder Ideaworks as senior graphic designer and head of the agency’s in-house studio. He will be responsible for the three,person studio team charged with print, package design, broadcast support, interactive, presentations and all collateral design.
ARCHITECTURE
Irvine-based architectural and planning firm Danielian Associates appointed Kevin Stra-cner senior planner. Stracner will be responsible for creative planning and will supervise the planning department and will be involved with new business development.
BANKING
Alliance Bank appointed Patrick Zazueta business development officer of the accounts receivables financing program. His responsibilities include the development and management of new relationships in California for accounts receivable financing. He will also assist with the development of new products and services bank-wide. He will work out of the bank’s Newport Beach offices.
BUSINESS SERVICES
Deborah Rafii has joined Irvine-based McDermott & Bull Executive Search Inc. as vice president of client development. Rafii will build the company’s strategic alliances and client relationships with fast-growing companies in Southern California. Previously, she was the head of product management at Australian software company En Vinta Corp.
Deloitte & Touche LLP has admitted Henry (Hank) Adamany to the partnership. Adamany will be a partner within the management practice area in the company’s Costa Mesa office. He will specialize with technology, entertainment, telecommunications and media clients.
CONSTRUCTION
Irvine-based Snyder Langston has hired Larry D. Cochrun as project executive for the firm’s industrial building group. Cochrun will oversee business development and be the primary contact for clients, developers and owners with interests in warehousing, manufacturing and distribution centers. He will also provide mentorship for project managers, superintendents and engineers.
HEALTHCARE
Lonnie Hirsch has been promoted president of Santa Ana-based Practice Builders, a healthcare marketing company. Hirsch will assume responsibility for national operations, including sales, marketing, support services and product development. Practice Builders is a subsidiary of Jamesburg, New Jersey-based Medical World Communications Inc.
LAW
Mark D. Alpert has joined the firm of Hart, King and Coldren, Santa Ana, as associate. Alpert was formerly a partner at Kendig & Alpert of Newport Beach. He represents both public and private entities in matters dealing with real estate, business, environment, construction and breach of contract.
MANAGEMENT
Lake Forest-based Pro-fessional Community Management Inc. has hired and promoted three executives. Debbie Stinson has been hired senior community manager. Stinson will be responsible for providing service management services to six communities. Steve Cole has been promoted to community manager. Cole joined the company in 1999 as a senior accounts-receivable representative. He will be responsible for managing six homeowner associations in Orange County. Additionally, Ken Josselyn has joined the company as a community manager. Josselyn will provide management services to various homeowner associations.
POLITICS
Irvine native Luke A. Stedman has been named director of advance for U.S. House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.). Previously, Stedman served for five years as a marketing manager of the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace in Yorba Linda. He will plan and direct all political operations related to the speaker’s campaign travel and political schedule for the 2002 election campaign.
PUBLIC HEALTH
Michael Mahshigian has been appointed Dental Officer for the Orange County Health Care Agency. Mahshigian directs programs serving juveniles housed in county probation facilities, individuals with dental emergencies, and individuals who are HIV positive. The role of dental officer also includes the researching community oral health programs.
RETAIL
The Home Depot has hired Beverly Robbins real estate manager for development of new store locations in Orange and San Diego counties. Robbins spend seven years in commercial brokerage with Trammell Crow Company and CB Commercial Real Estate Inc. (now CB Richard Ellis). She has been with the company for two years and will continue responsibility for new store locations in the Central Valley and Sacramento markets.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based Intersil Corp. hired Frank “Skip” Effler Jr. vice president of worldwide sales. Effler will lead the company’s global sales as the company expands in wireless networking.
