Mary Figlioli has joined Sunwest Bank’s Tustin headquarters as a vice president in the construction and commercial real estate lending department.
Gary Marquis has joined Coldwell Banker Commercial Orange Coast as the executive vice president. Marquis previously was a founding managing partner at Voit Commercial Brokerage.
Kim Young, president of Wells Fargo’s Orange County Coastal markets, became regional vice president for the bank’s Orange County community banking region.

William N. Makshanoff has been appointed Southern California manager of building and safety services at Santa Ana-based Berryman & Henigar. Makshanoff served as a building and safety official for the city of Rancho Cucamonga for nine years.
Cathy Moore, former vice president of field operations for Venturi Staffing Partners, (formerly Thomas Staffing) has been promoted to general manager. Moore joined Thomas Staffing in 1992.

Gradient Engineers Inc., a unit of Leighton Group Inc., has promoted Kris Lutton to president and chief executive of the Irvine-based environmental engineering consulting firm.

Kerry Lacoste has joined Stoyan Design of Costa Mesa as senior designer. Lacoste recently served as senior designer at Weymouth Design in Boston.

Bill Remmer and Kim Huxtable joined Mirimar Wholesale Nurseries’ San Juan Capistrano location. Remmer, a new accounts salesman, will provide service to mass merchants and nursery chains. Huxtable, a territorial salesman, will serve the Inland Empire, Palm Springs and Riverside County.

Paula R. Davey has been appointed director of client services for the Peterson Group’s New-port Beach headquarters.
Liz Papagni joined Irvine-based Special-ized Marketing Services Inc. as vice president of client services. In addition, Doug Sprague was hired as senior director of strategic business development, and Andrea Hart will serve as marketing manager.

John D. Jones, vice president of legal and regulatory affairs at Prescription Solutions, has been reappointed by Gov. Gray Davis to the California State Board of Pharmacy. He also was elected board president by his fellow board members.
