BANKING

Teresa Darwin, banker at the Costa Mesa branch for Wells Fargo & Co., was named investment consultant with Newport Beach-based Wells Fargo Investments. She now is able to offer mutual funds.

CONSULTING

Environmental Resources Management Group Inc., an environmental consulting company, added Larry Hottenstein as managing partner. Hottenstein also was named national program director for the company’s national air quality practice and Danny Kringel was named program director for the group.

EDUCATION

Catherine Stickel was added as director of graphic design and new advertising programs and Amy Norton as director of interactive media design programs at the Art Institute of California Orange County in Santa Ana.

ENGINEERING

Westminster, Colo.-based Syncroness Inc., a mechanical engineering consulting company, added Jan Zwierstra at its Irvine office.

FINANCE

Gabriel Anderson joined the Newport Beach office of Morgan Stanley as financial adviser. Anderson was with Merrill Lynch & Co. for five years.

GW Equity, a global investment banking company, added Lori Galloway as managing director of mergers and acquisitions and John Poythress as managing director for the Western region, at its Irvine office.

Ken Yonkers was promoted from financial adviser to senior vice president of wealth management at Smith Barney Inc. in Newport Beach, a unit of New York-based Citigroup Inc. Jason Sherr of the Irvine office of Smith Barney, was designated as senior investment management specialist and financial adviser, a title awarded to financial advisers who have proven success according to industry standards.

INSURANCE

Jim Morris was named chief operating officer at Newport Beach-based Pacific Life Insurance Co., putting him in line to replace Chief Executive Tom Sutton, who’s set to retire next year under company policy. Mike Bell was named executive vice president of Pacific Life’s life insurance division.

LAW

Snell & Wilmer LLP added five attorneys at its Costa Mesa headquarters: Laurie Gormican, Lee Mackay, Jeff Singletary, Katherine Hughes and Victor Roehm.

Howery LLP elected Greg Cordrey and Isabelle Carrillo to partners at its Irvine office. Cordrey practices in the intellectual property group and Carillo practices in the global litigation group.

Claudio Koren was added as attorney at the Newport Beach office of Greenbaum & Katz LLP. Koren works as a foreign legal consultant.

Greenberg Traurig LLP added Charles E. Schwenck as shareholder at its Costa Mesa office. Schwenk, an energy and infrastructure project development, construction and finance attorney, most recently worked in the corporate and finance department as partner in the Los Angeles office of Kaye Scholer LLP.

MANUFACTURING

MarChem Pacific Inc., a maker of urethane systems and adhesives based in Orange, promoted Greg Collings to general manager. He previously was operations manager.

MARKETING

Irvine-based Morgan Marketing & Public Relations LLC named Christy Flanagan account supervisor. She manages several accounts, including Panda Restaurant Group Inc. of Rosemead and Peter Piper Pizza of Scottsdale.

NONPROFIT

Laguna Beach resident Lisa Wolter was named executive director at the Orange County affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foun-dation. Wolter most recently was director of development and communications for Project Angel Food in Los Angeles.

Penelope Parmes, a partner in the Costa Mesa office of Rutan & Tucker LLP, was named to the board of the Marconi Automotive Museum & Foundation for Kids in Tustin.

Habitat for Humanity of Orange County in Santa Ana named Brian E. Winn chairman. Winn is the director of financial planning for Edison International and has been on the board since May 2000.

The Children’s Hospital of Orange County Foundation for Children named the following to its board: Jay Kear of Kear Enterprises; Emile Haddad, president of West Coast operations for Lennar Corp.; Michael Muhonen, a doctor and medical director of the CHOC Neuroscience Institute; Mark Moses, president and chief executive of Platinum Capital Group Inc.; and Allen Fazio, chief information officer of Disneyland Resort.

REAL ESTATE

Anthony C. Dabbene was added as senior managing director and Dee Shipley was promoted to operations director at the Irvine office of New York-based Cushman and Wakefield of California Inc.

JD Pierce Co. promoted Scott Greene to director of forward planning and land acquisition. Greene formerly was with the Irvine division of Carmel Partners LLC.

Matthew M. Soto was named chief operating officer at Costa Mesa’s Assurance Capital Home Loans, a unit of First Team Real Estate.

Santa Ana’s First American Title Insurance Co., a unit of First American Corp., promoted Gary L. Bates to county manager for Mendocino, Humboldt and Del Norte counties.

Santa Ana-based First American Corp. named J. Gregory Harrington president of First American International Services Group. The group is a new division offering services to the mortgage industry. Harrington most recently was senior vice president of mortgage operations at JP Morgan Chase.

Costa Mesa-based Roxburgh Agency promoted Jill Chambers to vice president from account executive. Chambers joined the company in 1998.

Stephen Corea was named senior vice president of acquisitions at San Juan Capistrano-based Birtcher Anderson Realty LLC, a commercial real estate investment firm.

SERVICES

Mission Viejo’s Location Management Services, a relocation assistance company, named John Schuetz executive vice president. He will oversee sales, marketing, client relations and operations for the company.

TECHNOLOGY

Louisville, Ky.-based Hosting.com added seven people at its data center in Irvine: Roman Flom as data center manager; Lori Isakson as project and program manager; James Rulison as lead systems engineer; Andre Amar as member of technical staff; Jason Burris as member of technical staff; Michael Rahmat as business development executive; and Paul Oh in business development. The company offers Internet-hosted business services to companies.

Brian Metherell was named vice president and general manager of the telecommunication systems division at Irvine-based Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., a unit of Toshiba Corp.

Steve Opel was added as senior program manager at Anaheim-based Interstate Electronics Corp., a unit of New York-based L-3 Communications Corp. Opel will lead the company’s integrated product teams that manage programs for the Air Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center.

Irvine-based Sensor System Solutions Inc., a maker of sensors and signal conditioning modules, named Roger G. Sullivan vice president of sales and marketing.
