ENGINEERING

Timothy Psomas was named chairman of the American Council of Engineering Companies in Costa Mesa. He also is chairman of Psomas, a water and wastewater engineering company in Costa Mesa.


GOVERNMENT

Anaheim City Council named Cristina Talley as city attorney. Talley has served the city of Anaheim as senior assistant city council, civil division and most recently as acting city attorney.


HEALTHCARE

Irvine-based Endologix Inc., a developer of minimally invasive treatments for aortic disorders, named Daniel Hawkins vice president of global marketing. Hawkins has 15 years of marketing management and business development experience in the medical device and biotechnology industries.

CareMeridian in Aliso Viejo hired Mark Mortensen as chief financial officer. Prior, Mortensen was senior vice president of finance at Sun Mar Healthcare where he developed, implemented and was responsible for finance, information technology, human resources and sales. CareMeridian helps patients that have suffered brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and similar ailments.

Tom Bent was named president of the California Academy of Family Physicians. Bent is medical director and chief executive of Laguna Beach Community Clinic and an associate clinical professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the UC Irvine School of Medicine. Bent plans to address the increasing family physician shortage, advocate for increased medical school loan repayment programs and other incentives to encourage medical students to choose family medicine as a specialty.


NONPROFIT

Families Forward, a nonprofit social services agency that provides transitional housing and homeless prevention programs in Irvine, added Mark Harryman and Jay Steinman to its board. Harryman works for Unire Real Estate Group Inc. in Brea and is site council president of Harbor View Elementary School. Steinman works for Dzida Carey and Steinman in Irvine.

Providence Speech and Hearing Center in Orange added Ken Ribotsky to its board. Ribotsky is president and founder of Santa Ana-based healthcare marketing company Brandkarma.


REAL ESTATE

Hoffman Co. in Irvine hired David Ernst to assist in handling a growing number of land transactions. Ernst has acquired or sold more than $300 million worth of land while working for both public and private home builders and land developers throughout California.

The Irvine office of Studley Inc. promoted Michael Props from managing director to corporate managing director and Charles Suh from assistant director to associate director. Props focuses on corporate space users and provides a variety of real estate services including tenant representation, sublease disposition, lease and financial analysis and strategic planning. Suh is a member of Studley’s project management services group and has experience working with commercial office, industrial, retail, hospitality and biomedical buildings.

The board of Cresa Partners LLC named David Willis chairman. Willis was the founding principal of the Newport Beach office of Cresa Partners in 1994. He has spent the past 25 years as a commercial real estate broker specializing in exclusive tenant representation.


SPORTS

San Clemente resident Karch Kiraly was named assistant coach of the U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team. Widely recognized as one of the greatest volleyball players of all time, Kiraly is the only volleyball player to have won Olympic gold medals in both indoor and beach volleyball.


TECHNOLOGY


Gene Lynes joined Kofax PLC in Irvine as chief accounting officer. He will oversee the company’s global accounting functions.

Newport Beach-based InteliCloud Inc., a de-veloper and manufacturer of network equipment, named Hitendra “Sonny” Soni as vice president of business development.
