ARCHITECTURE
Irvine-based Ware Malcomb has promoted Kenneth Wink to vice president. Wink joined the firm in 1994 and was promoted to principal in 1999. He will be responsible for overseeing company operations and developing and maintaining client relationships.
CONSTRUCTION
Bob Volmer has joined Beazer Homes in Orange as development manager. Volmer will oversee offsite development activities. In addition to reviewing project costs the company is considering for purchase, he will obtain necessary approvals, bid and award contracts to subcontractors and ensure developments come in on time and within budget.
McCarthy Building Cos. has hired Jim Mynott to serve as director of business development for its Southern California Division in Newport Beach. Mynott was previously the principal construction manager for Walt Disney Imagineering. He will be responsible for generating new and repeat business and identifying potential markets.
Lennar Homes in Mission Viejo has appointed Denise Hayes to the position of marketing director. She will oversee the company’s marketing efforts, including advertising, public relations, model and home interior design, model landscape design, marketing research and feasibility studies.
DINING
Sean Kavanaugh has been named executive chef for Aramark Sports and Entertainment at the Anaheim Convention Center. Kavanaugh previously served as executive chef for Levy Restaurants and The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix. He and his family will relocate to Anaheim.
FINANCIAL
Evangelical Christian Credit Union, Anaheim, has named Brian Sch-arkey to the newly created position of senior vice president and chief financial officer. Sch-arkey joined the company in 1994 and was promoted to vice president of finance in 1998. He will oversee accounting, finance, budgeting, investments and regulatory and audit interface.
Ken Tucker has joined the Irvine office of Johnson Capital Group Inc. Tucker will perform financial and real estate analysis on all types of commercial property. In the past three years he has worked with GE Capital in Mexico City and Sydney, Australia.
HOSPITALITY
Hotel Information Systems, Irvine, has appointed Seth Christian chief marketing officer. Previously, Christian was founder and chief executive of HotelTools, and spent 13 years with Suburban Lodges of America Inc. The company is a division of Irvine-based MAI Systems Corp.
INSURANCE
Under the umbrella group of Pasadena-based United Agencies Inc., John Miller will be opening a new office, Miller United Insurance Brokerage Inc., in Orange. Miller began his insurance career at Liberty Mutual Group in 1986 and has been employed by international brokerages Alexander and Alexander Ltd. and Sedgwick James Inc.
REAL ESTATE
John R. Shumway has joined the Newport Beach office of The Concord Group, a real estate advisory company. Shumway will focus on community developments, commercial real estate projects and general real estate litigation. He will be responsible for of strategic analysis, and will join the company’s management committee, which oversees operations and business development.
Newport Beach-based NAI Capital Commercial has hired two new employees. John Bosko joins the company as senior vice president. Bosko was senior director of sales and leasing for Charles Dunn Co.’s Orange County Office. Additionally, Bob Bush has been hired as vice president. Bush was also previously employed by Charles Dunn Company, where he specialized in the leasing and sale of Orange County office and industrial properties. Both will specialize in the sale and leasing of office, industrial and medical space throughout Orange County and Corona markets.
SECURITY
Chuck Schilling has joined Costa Mesa-based Pacwest Security Services as vice president of business development. Schilling will be responsible for establishing and maintaining long term business relationships with clients and ensuring customer satisfaction.
STAFFING SERVICES
Jennifer Evans has been promoted to president of Irvine-based Davidson Personnel Inc. A 10-year Davidson veteran, she will head Davidson Staffing, Davidson Legal Staffing and DPI Technical staffing. The company specialize in professional staffing.
Robert Half International has named Marina Gomez Irvine branch manager. Gomez joined the company in 1998 as a division director and has served as branch manager for the company’s La Jolla office. She has seven years experience in the staffing industry.
TECHNOLOGY
Digital Quickcolor Inc., Irvine, has hired Dave Sigafus as general manager. Sigafus will oversee day-to-day operations of the company including account and project management. He brings more than 20 years of printing and management experience to the company.
