Irvine-based Haskell & White LLP promoted Brad Graves and Rick Smetanka to partners. Graves is a member of the firm’s tax department, and has been with the company since it was founded in 1988. Smetanka has been with the firm since 1996 and works in its audit and business advisory department.

Tricia Krupa has joined Y & R; Cos. as vice president, director of creative operations in its Irvine office. Previously, Krupa was vice president, director of creative services at kirshenbaum bond + partners, New York. She will head operations and work with the broadcast and print departments.

BSW International has named Jo-E Lopez marketing coordinator in its Irvine location. Lopez will handle business development. The firm also promoted architect Michael Santillan to manager of client services. He will work with existing clients. Meanwhile, Rick Hallenbeck has joined BSW as senior designer. Hallenbeck will lead project management services.

Stanley F. Sydor has joined Trabuco Canyon-based Eureka Resource Group as chief financial officer. Sydor was director of marketing for MDR Technologies of Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
COMMUNICATION
Irvine-based Escoe Bliss Communication has hired Kara Dodge as director of programs. Previously, Dodge was managing editor of Reader, published by Michigan Technological University. Escoe is a technical writing and editing firm.
CONSTRUCTION
Ellen Harrison has been promoted to director of escrow for Beazer Homes USA Inc.’s Orange location. Harrison will be responsible for monitoring and closing escrows. Beazer has also promoted Andrea Kanel to director of sales, south. Kanel will supervise sales and escrow functions. She has been with the company since 1995.
Robert A. Quealy has been hired as project superintendent for Pepper Construction, Irvine. Quealy was most recently employed by Peck/Jones Construction, and has more than 20 years experience managing retail, residential, and commercial projects.
RBF Consulting, Irvine, has named Richard A. Hart vice president of transportation/public works. Hart has more than 19 years experience in design and management of highway, freeway and bridge projects in Southern California.
HEALTHCARE
Orange-based Western Dental Services Inc. has appointed Kathi Moore director of marketing. Moore will be responsible for the company’s marketing activities.
INSURANCE
Katherine L. Tusa has joined Irvine-based DLD Insurance Brokers Inc. as chief operating officer. Tusa’s primary responsibilities include managing the firm’s property and casualty operations. She had been with New Jersey-based Chubb & Son for the past 23 years, where she served as branch manager for its Newport Beach and San Diego operations.
MANUFACTURING
Dan Cormack has been named chief operating officer of Semi Dice Inc., Los Alamitos. Cormack will oversee the company’s processing operations and stocking facilities. He joined the company in 1982 and will also continue to serve as senior vice president.

Costa Mesa-based L & M; Marketing Inc. has hired Michael Sutton as senior art director. Sutton will oversee the agency’s creative department, providing concepts and strategies for clients.
Debra Barlow has joined Newport Beach-based L & A; Marketing and Advertising Inc. as account executive. Previously, Barlow worked for real estate sales company First Estate Properties where she handled marketing duties. The company also has hired Diane Jensen as a new business development and account management specialist. Jensen was responsible for new business at Catalina Design Group.

Newport Beach-based Craig Realty Group has named Nancy Zorehkey-Barnes senior leasing executive. Zorehkey-Barnes has more than 18 years of experience in the shopping center industry.
GVA Beitler Commercial Realty Services has appointed T. Ryer Pickren director for the Orange County region. Before joining Beitler, Pickren was executive vice president of brokerage services for Charles Dunn Co. He will work out of Beitler’s Irvine offices.
TECHNOLOGY
Denny Michael joined Santa Ana-based Starbase Corp as executive vice president of marketing. Previously, Michael was vice president of marketing for NQL Inc., Vancouver, Wash.
Santa Ana-based Hall Research Technolo-gies Inc. has promoted Maher Haron to operations manager. Haron will oversee the manufacturing, purchasing and test departments. Hall Research has also promoted Cirilo Garay to engineering technician and expanded the responsibilities of Lee Pimental, production supervisor, to include supervision of the shipping, receiving and manufacturing departments.
