ARCHITECTURE
Perlman Architects Inc. hired Lawrence Wolf as director of design for the Newport Beach office and as a senior designer for the Las Vegas and Scottsdale offices. Wolf has more than 23 years of experience in the planning, design and management of projects that include custom homes, single-family and multi-family housing, mixed-use projects and commercial office, retail and industrial centers.
CONSTRUCTION
Suffolk Construction Co. in Irvine named Greg Hescock as vice president of construction for its Western operations. He worked at Suffolk’s Boston office since 1987 in a variety of roles, most recently as director of field operations.
DPR Construction Inc. added Charles “Carlie” Hernandez as senior project manager in the Newport Beach office.
San Diego-based Roel Construction Co. hired Erin Horne as a receptionist in the Irvine office. She has worked for Roel for more than four months as a temporary employee and formerly worked for the law offices of Unis & Associates.
HEALTHCARE
PacifiCare Behavioral Health, the mental health arm of Cypress-based PacifiCare Health Systems Inc., appointed Kenneth L. Watkins as chief financial officer. Previously, Watkins was chief financial officer for Long Beach-based Universal Care Inc., a mixed-model HMO composed of medical, dental and optometry clinics and pharmacies. He also has held key financial positions at Taco Bell Corp. and Ernst & Young.
LAW
The Orange County Bar Foundation named the following officers to the board: president, Michael P. Maguire, Michael Maguire & Associates; president elect, Kathleen O. Peterson, Preston Gates & Ellis LLP; treasurer, James M. Skorheim, Moss Adams LLP; secretary, Allan H. Stokke, Stokke & Riddet. In addition, nine new members were added to the board: Virginia Grogan, Hilary Kaye, Mark D. Kemple, Cheryl Maxson, Carolyn McKitterick, Ashleigh Aitken Penn, Linda A. Sampson, Cindy Stokke and Steven A. Ruben.
MARKETING
MarkeTeam Inc. in Mission Viejo added Anne Mahoney as creative services coordinator. She has more than 10 years of creative industry experience, including work for the Walt Disney Co.
NONPROFIT
The Jewish Community Center of Orange County named Daniel M. Bernstein executive director. Bernstein previously served as the executive director and president at the Flanzer Jewish Community Center in Sarasota, Fla., for the past 14 years.
Steve Marken joined the Orange County Community Foundation as the director of gift planning.
REAL ESTATE
Janet Kemmerer joined Centex Corp.’s Centex Homes unit as director of marketing for the Irvine-based south coast division. Kemmerer comes to Centex from Brookfield Homes, where she served as director of marketing and research. She will be responsible for Centex Homes’ marketing and merchandising programs throughout Orange County, the western portions of both San Bernardino and Riverside counties and the southernmost areas along the border of Los Angeles County.
Fieldstone Communities Inc. appointed Jeff Fullerton as project manager. He will be responsible for the selection and acquisition of land, the entitlement process, community development and the sales and marketing of properties. Before joining Fieldstone Communities, Fullerton was vice president of finance for TheOne Technology Group (now Dyna Lab).
TRANSPORTATION
The Orange County Transportation Authority elected Gregory T. Winterbottom as chairman. Winterbottom, a resident of Villa Park, has served as a public member on the OCTA board since 1993 and has more than 20 years of experience with transportation issues. Bill Campbell, a former state assemblyman from Villa Park, was elected vice chairman. He has served on the OCTA board since 2003.
