ADVERTISING

RiechesBaird Inc. hired Zuly Schober as creative services manager. Prior to joining RiechesBaird, Schober was an art director for L & A; Advertising. She will work with both the creative and traffic teams at the company.

BANKING

Irvine-based Plaza Bank hired Terry Robinson as chief executive and Gene Galloway as president. Robinson previously worked as chief executive at North Bay Bancorp, now Umpqua Bank. Galloway has held senior positions at a number of Southern California banks including California Federal Bank, Crocker National Bank and Sanwa Bank. Both Robinson and Galloway will join the bank’s board.

CONSTRUCTION

McCarthy Building Cos. hired James Madrid as director of business development in its Newport Beach office. He previously was operations manager for Southland Industries Inc. in Las Vegas. McCarthy will head the education services de-partment, which focuses on schools, community colleges and universities.

John Sherwood joined the Orange County offices of Gafcon Inc. as senior project manager at the Great Park design studio in Irvine. He will work on the development of the 1,400-acre urban park that’s planned at the former El Toro Marine base. Sherwood recently was director of community development for Irvine Company.

ENGINEERING

Joon Min joined the Costa Mesa offices of Psomas as project director in the advanced treatment technology department of the water and wastewater group. He has worked as a project manager and investigator for a number of construction projects, both nationally and internationally.

GOVERNMENT

Dave Adams was named city manager at the city of Yorba Linda. Previously, he was city manager of San Juan Capistrano. He has held that position since 2003.

NONPROFIT

The Boys and Girls Club of Capistrano Valley added John Brynjolfsson to its board of regents and Jeremy Illenberger to its board. Brynjolfsson is a managing director at Armored Wolf LLC in Aliso Viejo. Illenberger is the general manager of Salt Creek Grille in Dana Point. The club serves residents of Capistrano Valley, including San Juan Capistrano and Aliso Viejo.

Tami Bui joined the board for Moms Orange County. She currently is the local public affairs region manager at Southern California Edison Co., part of Edison International. Bui has served on the Moms advisory committee and helped develop VietMoms, which coordinates maternal-child healthcare for low-income Vietnamese families.

REAL ESTATE

Annie McClinton joined Irvine-based Western National Group as vice president of training and development. Her duties will include managing and implementing training programs for the construction and property man-

agement company. McClinton previously worked at Irvine Co. as vice president of training and operations.

KBS Capital Markets Group promoted Mike Crimmins to chief executive and managing director of its

sales and distribution division. Crimmins previously was national sales manager. He will be responsible for overseeing internal and external wholesaling operations. Crimmins is replacing founder and chief executive Greg Brakovich, who is leaving to pursue other ventures.

Aliso Viejo’s Merit Rental Property Man-agement Inc., part of FirstService Corp., hired Stephen Brahs as vice president. He will be responsible for negotiating property management agreements with investors, as well as marketing and leasing properties for current clients. Brahs previously was the president and chief executive of Advantage Building Services LLC.

Christopher Gilmartin joined Milan Capital Management Inc., based in Anaheim, as chief financial officer. He previously was chief financial officer for Sperry Van Ness in Irvine. Milan Capital Management is an investment real estate company, specializing in commercial real estate and apartments.

SERVICES

Newport Beach-based Eclipse Messenger Ser-vice hired Michael Jones as vice president of sales. Jones will manage sales and marketing teams. His sales experience includes positions in the courier industry and with Citigroup Inc.
