Irvine-based Paciolan Systems, a ticketing software provider, has hung out its shingle in Canada to support two new performing arts clients there.
This is the second office that Paciolan has opened this year (the other: a 1,400-square-foot location in New York). The company has mounted a push, winning new clients and acquiring ticketing technology, after moving its headquarters from Long Beach to Irvine in March.
The company’s 1,000-square-foot Toronto office will be staffed with one (a new hire) to start. The site manager plans to work with clients Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Canadian Opera Co., which both signed seven-year pacts to use Paciolan’s ticketing software to sell tickets 24 hours a day on their Web sites.
“Of the competing solutions we scrutinized during the selection process, Paciolan’s was the best one to help us serve our customers,” said Anne-Marie Wilson, director of finance and administration at the Toronto Symphony.
Paciolan has hired two people to run the New York office. Paciolan now counts 130 employees companywide, up from 43 this time last year.
