Irvine-based Netscope Inc. is on the hunt for a few workers after nabbing some advertising work.
The OC shop picked up a client and expanded work with two others.
General Electric Co. tapped Netscope for online assignments for its CareCredit division, which focuses on chiropractic and dental services. The campaign includes direct mail and e-mail ad campaigns.
The shop also picked up a big assignment from Seal Beach-based homebuilder The Olson Co., which includes redesigning its Web site. Netscope previously handled Olson’s search engine marketing and e-mail campaigns.
Meanwhile, Netscope expanded business with Cleveland-based client Parker Hannifin Corp. The shop already has developed online human resources manuals for several Parker divisions.
The recent work also focuses on these manuals, which the company can customize for specific workers.
Netscope said sales are up 18% this year, which has prompted it to hire workers to handle the spike in work.
The growth has come from adding clients, plus existing ones that keep expanding their online and interactive marketing budgets, the shop said.
NetScope has 16 workers and is looking for up to four more. Recently, the shop hired David Schreck as creative director and Court Collier as creative lead.
Coffee Jolt
Irvine-based Morgan Marketing & Public Relations LLC recently wrapped up a marketing campaign for client It’s A Grind Coffee Franchise LLC.
The shop helped Long Beach-based It’s a Grind promote an ice-blended coffee drink called Coconut Crunch.
Morgan Marketing recently picked up the account, which includes local store marketing and media relations.
The shop also is set to help client San Clemente-based Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. with public relations and marketing of restaurant launches.
Last week, I wrote that Bubba Gump planned to open five locations by year’s end. The chain has 20 locations and said it is looking to eventually grow to 35 to 50.
Morgan Marketing just moved to bigger offices in the Irvine Spectrum to handle its growing staff of about 10 workers.

Fruit or Vegetable?
The Irvine office of San Diego-based Interactivate Inc. redesigned the Web site for the Irvine-based California Avocado Commission.
The site has more photos, less text and an avocado recipe search engine, among other things, Interactivate said.
The avocado commission can easily update the site with seasonal promotions or other current content, the shop said.
Stacy Jaffa, the commission’s marketing director, said in one month the number of downloaded avocado recipes doubled with the changes.
Interactivate also created an e-mail campaign to promote the Web site.
Interactivate also built another Web site for the commission to promote its “Build a Better Burger” contest, which includes information about the contest, recipes and grilling tips.

Zimmerman, who has been in the ad industry for two decades, helped bring in big accounts at FCB, such as Irvine-based Taco Bell Corp. and Beverly Hills-based Hilton Hotels Corp., the shop said.
