Orange County’s unemployment rate fell to 3.2% in April, down from 3.6% a year ago.
The unemployment rate was 3.4% in March.
The total number of nonfarm jobs in OC rose by 13,300 workers, or less than 1%, to 1,502,500 jobs from a year ago.
California’s unemployment rate was 4.8% in April, with the U.S. rate at 4.5%.
Nonfarm jobs in OC grew by 2,900 from March to April.
The leisure and hospitality sector posted the largest gain, with the addition of 1,800 jobs from March.
Professional and business service sector jobs grew by 700, while manufacturing jobs rose by 500.
