Orange County’s unemployment rate fell to 3.2% in May, according to a report from the state Employment Development Department on Friday.
The unemployment rate was down from 3.5% a year ago and in line with April’s rate, according to the state’s results, which haven’t been adjusted for seasonal factors.
There were 1,510,400 jobs in OC in May, up 15,000 from a year ago.
California’s unemployment rate was 5% in May, down from 5.4% a year ago but up from 4.9% in April.
Nonfarm payroll employment in California increased by 14,800 to 14,963,700 jobs in May, versus April, according to the department’s survey of employers.
