The site launched Jan. 1 and features the latest local news along with national and global stories of interest to our readers.
In the site’s first week, we broke news of Broadcom Corp.’s planned move to Irvine’s University Research Park and were among the first online to write about the name change of the Angels baseball team.
We also had stories on the prospect of a new Performing Arts Center chairman and Orange-based Ameriquest Capital Corp.’s donations to President Bush’s reinauguration.
Daily news alerts with the latest local news are e-mailed to subscribers and those who sign up at the site.
